Setzer is one of the best electric guitarists playing today. Imo, he has never received the credit he deserves. Love his solo material, his collaborations and his years fronting THe Stray Cats. He's amazing!
This looks like the concert at Meijer Gardens. I was in the crowd. Awesome show! The last time I saw the Cats in concert was the early 80’s in concert.
If people, even in the 90s, knew he could do that from his hit singles, he would be up there with guys like Clapton. Or even John Mayer. Seems like a hidden gift. Maybe he doesn't wanna show off. I'm happy he's playing with the cats again.
Saw Brian and Dick Dale at Shepherds Bush, London in 2001. Brian's was just after 9/11, excellent gig on Ignition tour. Dick Dale was bloody loud going through Fender Super amps .

He didn't get all the credit he deserved to be sure. I don't claim to be no critic by a long shot but I know talent when I see ìt. This guy has DEFIANTLY GOT IT.

I don’t even like this song but I still enjoyed watching it because Brian is such a great guitar player and performer that he makes this song great to watch! The guy is definitely a master of his domain…
I am an amateur psychic but I am a fulltime trend analyst as welll and Brian Setzers career tends to run in 20 year cycles and after this horrible year, news cycle, recession, whatever is coming... I predict Setzer will resurrect another genre of music!!!!! SURF MUSIC!!!!!! People are going to want to to feel good, have fun, and listen to music without those filthy FAP lyric garbage! I just placed a futures bet in Vegas on it... I got thrown out of the Caesars Palace Sportsbook for demanding they take action on bets that don't exist yet!!!! I swear it exists!!!!! .... You know I met Dick Dale once, dude was a dick! I don’t think he’s the “king of the surf guitar.” I think the ventures had him beat. I think even Los Straitjackets are better than he was but that’s just me.
