Brianna Lyston VS Jacious Sears...It Wasn't Meant To Be. 

That's the thing about American college sports, the coach cares more about the team points than the individual athlete. It's not the first time this has happened. Shame on them.

Man, I fear for Brianna and hope she can pull through all these meets and trials. She is clearly not 100% but yet they are pushing her. Prayers.

My heart breaks for Sears and I hope she can get back into reasonable shape this year; even if not running her fastest, she could win. I’m not so sure what to expect, but she does not have a buy.

This is merely a qualifying event where the top 12 Athletes & Teams from the East & West will make it to the NCAA Finals. Brianna should do just enough to qualify & not worry about winning

I’m a grown African-American man in small tears 😢. The next ShaCarri Richardson(Jacious Sears) may not qualify. Life is not fare. Jacious is so humble, friendly, so pretty, a great personality. She doesn’t deserve this. However, Sears style is unorthodox and powerful which is easier for her to get injured, compared to ShaCarri not as powerful. I guess the Lord has his reasons. I think Brianna has been treated with kids gloves for the past 2 seasons at LSU. They protected her. In season one she ran one race only. Brianna is eager to compete but her body isnt allowing her to do so. I bid you good health Brianna.

This is actually good for her since she may be able to be better prepared for the trials. She probably needs the rest and Brianna should go pro after this year as well. College track is brutal and breaks a lot of people.

You are wrong about Lyston not having to push to qualify. She will have to. There are other athletes who are gunning for qualifications and she cannot take anything for granted.

Collegiate athlete are run into the ground. They have brutal seasons.

I can't see how that was really a clash to be excited about. Sears has showed that she's quite a bit ahead of Lyston. Shw was gonna beat her significantly in the SEC finals. Maybe in few years or next year they'll see each other and it'll materialize. Couldn't be a rivalry with such a distance between them in the 100m.

Assuming she qualifies safety through these rounds, she should dominate NCAAs no problem assuming she is healthy. Sears was the main threat and the only one I could see potentially beating her at NCAAs!!!

you have to run at the Regionals in order to run at the NCAA Championships.....Regionals Heats and Quarter finals ...NCAA Semi finals and Finals....Sears is out
