@@TAM.w39 You never saw me say Fred was no good. I didn't pick Fred because of all of the distractions he had going on and because he hadn't put down a sub 10 in quite awhile prior to this meet. Hopefully this performance is a sign that he has gotten his house in order and has finally put all of the drama behind him. BTW, 2 years in track and field is a long time.

I have no problem with the american sprinters both male and female having the favourite tag for the 100m in Paris-it's better for the JAMcan sprinters to be underdogs. No medal is guaranteed for anyone just like what ELAINE-THOMPSON-HERAH experienced in the 2017 WC.

@jimwagner9522 Sweep what? Keep dreaming the fastest time at that trial was 9.83, Oblique Seville pb is 9.82 he clock that in his first and only 100M race so far for the year. The grate Glen Mills gonna make sure he gets Oblique up to running 9.7 come trial and the Olympic.. Not to mention Kishane Thompson a potential 9.7 sprinter who’s pb is 9.85 and he did it while he was injured.. Don’t confuse the Olympic with the US trails with the fast track in Haywood field..

The reason Sevillian did not medal last year was because he slept in the blocks. Afraid of false start. If Mills notice this and can can fix his start to respond to the gun, Seville will win this comfortable. He needs to get over being nervous and accept that he is the best. Low self esteem is what getting at Sivillian, you only achieve when you can believe.

I am not surprised about Coleman, but thought he would get 3rd instead of Fred. Coleman has no top end speed. He is a 60m runner. I do not think he will run 9.76 again and he will not win another championship. In 2019, he faced very little competition except for Gatlin. As for Noah, he seems to have peaked at 9.83. Clearly, Seville has this in the bag as long as he executes an excellent race similar to RGP.

@@viz1 Of course we are going win that so-called 7 years was rebuilding time. Now we have some fastest young men running in Jamaica today. At least 3 of them ran 9.8 when they were 22 years old last year today they are 23 and very fast, Noah Lyles ran into one of them a few weeks ago and it didn’t end well for, Noah knows what he is up against.. Just imagine what their numbers gonna be at trials and the Olympic?
