John, I do not have a video for step repair. It is definitely more involved and one of the most technical things we do. If you ever want to talk about the steps/process to rebuild let me know. A picture of them would be helpful. They can however be disassembled & re-installed as good as new. Good Luck, Vince

Great job, I have a brick that is chipped on my driveway, how do I remove it without damaging the other bricks, would the new brick have to be set in any cement ??

Glenn - I have a few videos so unsure on the material you are referring to. The bottom material is typically 21aa limestone which has a depth based on what type of traffic that is going on the pavers. The top / leveling layer is called slag. This is typically what has to be modified to make a repair to pavers. You can purchase this at Home Depot by the bag. Let me know if you have any addition questions. Thank you, Vince

Bruh didn’t even blow the sand off the pavers. Remove more of that base so it can prevent weeds from growing easily. Just tear a nice section so you can use a level. Where did you reroute the drain?

Do I need to use a special kind of sand or will "clean" beach sand be fine?

i had a company install a patio paver and walkway two years ago. Last year I called them to fix the borders because they were falling. This year seems I will need to call them because it's doing the same thing. I see the edging seals are about inch gap away from the border pavers and I think this happens when the ground dries up. Anyway to prevent this?

Poorly managed water are pavers worse friend. Pavers only make a direction to flow decision once, it’s important to make sure water always makes the right decision. This is influenced by making sure your pavers are installed at a grade the forces water to runaway from your house, especially on patios.

But that's not brick pavers, those are 'concrete' pavers. probably some kind of cobble type design.

Stone dust is the absolute worst material to use under a patio.

This is done about as far incorrect as you can go. The base material will not last any longer than a year with that soil underneath (especially since its running along a driveway!), the bricks are supposed to be layed level in place (without needing a blowhammer) , and the polymeric sand was not blown off after swept (leaves residue everywhere). Great way to make money fast though if a warranty is not in place!

Well smarty pants, this video was done in 2012 ish. True polymeric sand wasn’t as prevalent as today and we used quickcrete sand which doesn’t haze or leave residue as you call it. Yes, the original polymeric sand needed to be blown off. Today they even have haze free polymeric sand. We add slag under the bricks and today we add Portland for stability. And yes you still have to use a dead blow not a “blow hammer”. This project looked great after several years. We run a top notch business rarely having warranty, which do touch up as needed. Our biggest warranty is sand washing out, Not base washing out, due to our harsh environment in Michigan. I’ll be looking for your professional video to come out to see how you do it.
