I watched the follow up videos. Beautiful job. What climate zone? How does it maintain temperature in the winter months? Using firebrick was a great choice.

We re in the northern Wiscinsin so we have snow almost 5 months of the year and we use it in the winter too and so far it’s holding up really well. The granite cracked but we just left it since it’s only a small crack. There is a thick piece of a metal plate under the granite but that wasn’t enough from preventing the granite from cracking

@@GameTrailCameraVideos no worries. Smokers, firepits are notorious for cracking. Haven't seen one that didn't have a crack. Basically same climate. NE here. I have a spot picked out for smoker, however not enough time now. I'm anticipating project start of fall season.

@@ktm3850 after a few years, we still constantly use it. Hopefully you can have one built, you won’t regret it.
