This is how I set out an extension. All the methods used work very well and I've used them for years. Trying to explain everything I can to the new apprentice

The way you speak to your apprentice (at least on camera 😂) is to an outstanding standard and you should be proud. Far too many horror stories about the dogs abuse delivered on some sites. First lesson in life, speak to others the way you want others to speak to you👍

Great Video. Just gotta say I love watching a bricky fling mud along the top course of a line of bricks as if he was playing darts. I once saw a bricky whose aim was so true, he was able to fling a little line of mud from off his trawl directly into the left over vertical space between the bricks that you sometimes end up with, so neatly that you'd swear it was a finished job.

Brilliant video. Really enjoyed it. I'm starting the build up to DPC for my garden room in 3 weeks so this video was a welcome, and timely, reminder of things to think about. So much to remember in setting out, for a weekend warrior like me, that I've put it into a step-by-step list - and the 3-4-5 is in there too! The slab I'm laying on isn't 100% level so I'll improvise (ok, cheat) and use a laser level and finder/receiver to ensure each corner block is 'finished' to the same height before running the lines. Looking forward to seeing more on this extension.

People misinterprete it when dry bonding your tape is on the first brick and 900 actually falls on the start of the fifth brick so you have 4 bricks in between that measurement.

If you look at the spec of them trench block it says that you don’t apply a perp joint. You interlock them and fill the hole up. But it kind of goes against everything we know!!
