Always check a diagonal when lines are up. More accurate than doing a 345 on a smaller scale. I pulled a porch down that was 50mm out of parallel in 2 meters so any thing you build is better than that
Always good to help your parents out ! And you just know You’re Mum is going to spoil you with tea breaks. Shame about Drew , Hopefully he comes back and continues his apprenticeship as you come across as a very good teacher ! Respect m8 keep cracking on.
Thanks Jim! Yea trying to help them best I can when I'm free! Always hard to squeeze stuff in like this, but it'll get there! Waiting to hear from Drew to see the score 👌
Yes Izzy the dream boys back together 😆😆. Great video mate, really good explanation as you go . Love the bit of chaos too , reminds me of Jamie Oliver’s style 😉🧱👍🏼
Tremendous video. Great to see the initial laying out process.even if I don’t fully understand it. Your parents must very proud of you and your skills. Looking forward to seeing more. 🍺
@@IzzytheBricky love this son. I'm a stonemason. I lay a few bricks here and there. but would love to see a vid on closures etc queens and that kind of stuff .
Great stuff fella, don’t worry if people try and say you’re ocd or whatever, the peace of mind you have knowing that the extra checks and time spent measuring was well worth it. You know that when you’re back to build the rest that everything is spot on and there will be no issues 👍👍
Thanks alot mate appreciate it! Always best to be OCD at this level, as we both know..right at the bottom, right at the top! Have a brilliant week buddy
Hi mate, sorry for the delayed response! You use block and beam when the ground slops away from the house and it wouldn't be economical to back fill it all with stone to get it to Finish floor level ☺️
@@IzzytheBricky ah ok many thanks for explaining. I find building houses fascinating. I’m a pilot and watch your vlogs all over the world usually at strange times of the night… captures my attention. Keep the great quality going. By the way you are a great teacher… you would do well in the flying world, the way you patiently teach your apprentices and also explain problems to your audience. Well done 👏
@@IzzytheBricky Thanks bud. Stop taking your top of as my misses keeps pretending to get into brick work and is looking over my shoulder at the vids. Full over coats from now on🤣
Great stuff again Mam an Dad proud stuff. Hey was the you or Arnold Schwarzenegger taking his top off? Lol.its all the Labouring for yourself, and brickwork an blocks .. Yes I set out same. As you said you are square if took line off gable, and measured out correct measure at the back. Bob on !😁😉👍
😂😂😂💪 cracked me up mate 😉 Best way, also I don't try my square too much as I ran it over, so 345 and double checking measurements is always gonna be the best way👌 Have a brilliant weekend buddy
@@IzzytheBricky u2 mate. Wife away. Lagers in, and watching ....Guess who? ( your first film) Arnie in the first Predator movie !! Top film if u like Sci Fi
Nice job n video , doing similar at mine. Did you think about a vertical dpc were extension brick meets existing house brick ? Or is it over kill, cheers
Ayup mate! Hope your good! When ever mate! I'm gonna be working at my parents house next couple of weekends, could be a good opportunity for us to get some down together mate!
