Years ago my step brother was running around me while I was reading a book on the floor. I got tired of him stomping around me so I ended up sweeping his legs with my foot. The poor kid did a Looney Toons front flip into faceplant combo, sat there shocked on the floor for a few seconds, then ran away crying. I simply told the parents that he was running around me while I was reading and he tripped on my foot.

Something like this happened to me when I was arguing with my mom at like 8. My mom pushed me down so my big sister ran up to get between us. My sister full sprint shinned me in my face. I was on my hands and knees and she knocked me a full 180. Fun times.
I would have just froze and done my best to apologize but yeah I don't blame you for that reaction lol. I have audio processing issues so even if they spoke perfectly fluent English my brain has trouble processing accents sometimes and it would have just drawn it all out and made it worse lmao
