I don’t know that it’s necessarily about “entitlement”, per se- every bride wants to feel special on the day she comes in to choose her dress. With her theme being Christmas/Winter Wonderland, she probably thought it would be a really cute idea for her entourage to help her with her decision, while simultaneously spreading a little bit of Christmas joy throughout the shop. She seemed like such a sweetheart- I doubt that she’d meant any harm. But if something like this would put a damper on your experience, then perhaps you might prefer to book your appointment on a day when you and your bridal party are one of just a few groups present. It won’t necessarily guarantee that your appointment will be noise-free (think of all the members of other bridal parties cheering loudly when the bride-to-be finds her dream dress), but it might be a worthwhile solution to consider, given your aversion.

there's a difference between wanting to see your daughter in a princess dress, and forcing her to CHOOSE a princess dress. i might like to see my daughter try one on, just for grins & giggles, but if she doesn't like it then she doesn't like it, and that's all that matters.

@@dietotaku yes, there is a difference, but I will always object to someone else (mom, aunt, grandma, best friend, sister, etc.) insisting on seeing a bride in a dress she clearly doesn’t want nor like. And Mom was insisting that she wanted to see it. Thankfully, she realized that she was upsetting her daughter and pushing her to do something she didn’t want to do. The bride was very clear, and didn’t want to waste time on trying on a dress she knew she didn’t want.

I agree but the best way you can do that is to go by yourself and not bring anybody.

The problem is, so many brides are so desperate for everyone to ooh and aah on their wedding day when the bride walks down the aisle that it is nearly impossible for those brides desperate for approval and admiration to get a dress without getting that approval before the big day. @@TrinhNguyen-sh4fj

I don't think there are even any windows in Kleinfelds, lol. Except for the front (which is a long ways from the showroom) and the back (which you're not allowed to be in anyway.) And no one is going to allow you to get that far without being tackled or tased, or shot at lol.
