Bride & Groom Dance Through the Decades | The Always Home First Dance 

FUN FACTS ABOUT OUR FIRST DANCE:
·Val choreographed the entire dance by herself (Zack of course helped guide some of the moves to flow better during practices) Val studied music videos + live performances from each decade, then taught herself the moves that seemed the most popular. The trickiest decade for us to learn was the 1940's swing dancing!!
· Since our home was too small to practice in + we didn't have a studio we could go to, we would practice in random quiet outdoor places in our town. Abandoned parking lots, a baseball field, etc. Luckily only a few people ever saw us weirdos dancing outside!
· We originally ended the final dance with Zack flipping Val into a BACKFLIP when the beat dropped.....! We practiced over + over again, but Val always twisted her body sideways when she was landing. We ultimately decided it was too risky + cut it out of the dance!
· We kept our first dance a secret from ALL of our wedding guests -- including parents, siblings, + the wedding party. It was the one thing we really wanted to surprise EVERYONE with (& by their reactions -- we'd call it a success!!)
