1st dress was perfect! Made her figure really stand out and the bride really loved it as well. I don’t know why you would consider others opinions..it’s your wedding day not theirs 🤷‍♀️

It is only for me a red flag, when somebody says: I was right for 26 years, and am right this time aswell??? It is hart to stand up for yourself when you were told a lifelong you can't be right, not even in the things about yourself.

Okay...let me just get this off my chest....ladies...PAY for your own dress and get what you want....your Mom, Grandma, MIL, auntie.....they all had their moment in the light....it's YOUR time to shine!! YOU do YOU....all the way! I am sick of seeing other folks influence your decision of how you should look on your day!!!! That's it...I'm done....

The first dress fit her so perfectly and accentuated her body so well. In my humble opinion I thought it was the best one she had tried on. It’s a shame she cared too much of what her mother wanted.

I paid for my daughter’s gown. I would never have used that to influence her choice or manipulate her decision.

Old Hollywood was dress #1. I thought she looked amazing. I understand wanting to please Mom though. I really do hope she has a fabulous wedding.

Mothers need to be as open minded as the brides are expected to be. Brides should try on every style first then take it from there.

I agree with the majority here. The first one was amazing for her figure. Suited her ver well.

Budget: £1,000-1,500. Dress #3: £1,567 ("just a little bit over budget" - PLUS the cost of the belt, which now becomes part of the cost of the dress, exclusive of the veil). Dress #1: £1,648 (10% over budget). Dress #2: £2,038 (36% over budget - WHY did they show this dress?). Even with +4.5% (plus the cost of the belt), a budget is still a budget. Why even bother to ask when the lowest-price dress is over budget?

I think when family and friends go with the bride to choose a dress they really should focus on the BRIDE'S taste, not their own - regardless of who is paying for it - or not go shopping!! That first dress was perfect for a New Year's Eve wedding and would definitely have got the groom's vote!

I hate that she didn’t get the first one. It was much better suited for her theme and she seemed to really like it. When I get my dress, I’m going by myself. I don’t need anyones approval and I don’t want it.

Comedy gold. Mom's wearing a dress that looks like a summer apron and is sporting a Karen haircut but she's under the impression that she's right about fashion (for 26 years!🤣) while wanting to add a belt to a dress with beads cascading down the skirt. It completely ruins the flow of the beading.

I am surprised that they didn’t put a veil on her in the dress she chose! But perhaps she only wants to wear a tiara or a flower crown of some sort? 🤔 Regardless, she looks stunning and I wish her all the best. 💗

It may have come in 67 pounds over budget but they also have to add in the cost of the belt as well which is probably somewhere between one hundred to two hundred pounds. I hate that the mother had to be so opinionated. When shopping with my daughters for their gowns I allowed them to pick the one they felt most beautiful in whether I favored it or not.

Her entourage led her astray. Out of all of the SYTTD episodes, this one I think about the most. She looked absolutely arresting in the first dress! A SHOW STOPPER, as if she were an A-list celebrity getting married.

what a cliché of a mother being envious of her daughter, horrible that she had such an influence on her, also looking at the mother she shoudn't be one to take style advice from, please mum take care of your own needs, grow up and support your daughter in being herself!

Honestly I don't think that dress was right for her. But it's her choice or their choice.

Emanuel and the assistant in this are the most irritating people on these dress shows. If I walked into a dress shop and saw either of them. I would say, "#@$@ no!" and turn on my heel and leave. But I would only go to Gok or Jo and Al but I will never want a wedding dress - so it's just a theoretical thought.

I actually didn’t care for any of the dresses. None were really that flattering. The first one fit the venue the best, but satin is completely unforgiving (every lump and bump shows!).
