Frankly, I liked her in either dress! I’m glad she followed her instinct and her heart, and found her way back to the floral dress. I want to see the wedding!!!

The floral dress is so cute, but every time I see it I dislike the angle of the tulle on the shoulders so much.

Such a darling girl, and I can certainly relate to her story. I was a size 16 when I dress shopped in 1968, and at that time, there were bridal departments in department stores (not bridal shops). I found the dress of my dreams on the cover of Brides magazine, dreamed about that dress, fantasized about that dress. I was in love. And then our one bridal dept. had it on the maniquin when my mom and I were shopping. The consultant wouldn't even talk to me. She just looked at me and said "you won't fit in that" and walked away. I was crushed. I settled on a "pretty" dress, but not the one I really wanted. And I sure didn't feel special on my day. We're married 50 years now, so I guess it didn't really matter, but things like that can crush your soul for a while. This girl got the right dress, her dream dress, and I'm so happy for her.

I am so glad that she had second thoughts about the first dress that she chose because I think that she chose it for the wrong reasons. She made a point of saying that she thought the second dress was only for skinny brides and that she didn't feel she could ever have it. So it made her giddy when she tried it on and it fit and looked nice. But it wasn't 'her'. The floral dress was made for her and spoke to who she was. I'm so glad that she came back for it.
