What an awful Entourage. Laughing at her and calling her overweight is just cruel.

Sophia really should go alone to her next appointment and also should never ever again take these two mean, disrespectful women with her. This is one of the saddest videos of SYTTD, I ever saw. Imagine having such a mother, that loves to devalue her own daughter just to lift her confidence. What a shame!

She looks good. Being criticized about one's weight is ridiculous and smacks of character bashing.

This cousin and mother are horrific despicable people.

The mother looked more overweight than Sophia did. Sophia didn’t even look overweight at all! The attitude of the mother and the cousin is a reflection of how they feel about themselves.

The hostility from the mom & cousin has to be more than just about 20lbs. That was just hateful. The girl looked good in some of those gowns, even without the dresses being sample sizes, or her not having the proper supporting undergarments she would be wearing. I mean, look at her mom laughing and saying her daughter is too big when she herself is twice her daughter's size! They were sabotaging her and I hope everyone who sees this in their real life shamed them for being so petty and cruel. They weren't being helpful, they were bullying her. It made me angry for the bride.

That bride needs an entourage made up of Gok, Randy and Monty. Gok to dress her so she feels amazingly confident, Randy to have a heart-to-heart, and Monty to make her laugh. And all 3 would praise her beauty.

Nobody needs to point out to the bride that she is overweight. She is aware. Just help her pick out the dress that flatters her the most. And her fiancée and soon to be husband loves her curves. Everyone needs to hush and support her. “If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing “. Your words will always haunt her of this memory.

I would have talked with her family about their comments. She needed Randy. He tells the family to lighten up and consider the bride's feelings when they are rude. I wouldn't bring that cousin back with her the next time she goes dress shopping. So sad.

It's truly disheartening to see the bride's experience of being bullied and laughed at by her cousin and her very own mother. They made what should have been a happy memory of a lifetime a difficult time. She must prioritize her happiness and leave those two at home on her next bridal dress shopping trip. She should bring someone who can support her in deciding on a bridal gown that truly makes her heart sing!

I feel so bad for the bride. For many years my family (including my mom) criticized my weight. When I was a size 10, I was fat. When I was a size 6, I was too skinny. I finally realized that no matter what I weighed they would find something negative to say and that is THEIR PROBLEM, not mine. Sophia is beautiful…I hope she knows that.

For the mom, I have this to say: People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. The cousin, on the other hand, is so jealous of the bride that it's almost comical. The bride deserves so much better. I thought the first dress was lovely on her.

The first dress in the fitted final version would have been absolutely gorgeous on her! Her mother and cousin don’t even deserve to be invited to the wedding after this disgusting and cruel display of how LITTLE they care about her! And they obviously don’t know anything about sample sizes in wedding gowns, (which is a pet peeve of mine)! Wedding shops should carry larger samples for NORMAL size people! Most people are not a size 4 or whatever their tiny samples are. At least some should be in a size 10, 12, 14 or 16. I know a lot more people in those sizes than I do in sizes 2 through 8… Clipping the back works for a smaller bride, you can still envision the final look. But filling in the open back of a dress that’s distorted from being way too small, doesn’t let the bride see the final look at all! It’s all pulling and bunching up, can’t tell anything from that.

I am Puerto Rican and my family does the same thing 😢. Every time I go and visit they are just criticizing me about my weight. If I am skinny is bad and if I am overweight is bad too. I am just mentally exhausted 😩.

If I was the consultant, I wouldn't be able to keep my mouth shut, I hope she did mention something to her in the dressing room that just wasn't shown on air

Every single dress she tried on, except for her cousin's choice made her look absolutely stunning. Not that she needed to because she already is. 😊

The mother and cousin didn’t even try to imagine Sophia in the dresses at the correct size. They are so mean! I felt for poor Sophia.

I don't think that the bridal consultant picked dresses that flattered the bride's figure. But that doesn't excuse the bride's mom and cousin's behavior. I think the bride should return to the bridal salon with 2 of her close friends and choose a different bridal consultant.

The sad thing is this is not the worst mom I've ever seen on this show. Randy had to take a time out from an appointment because the mother was so bad. How someone can treat their own child that way, I don't know. My daughter, who is plus size, got married 2 years ago and had 2 appointments. The first I couldn't be there but was on a video call the whole time. The appointment was to start narrowing down her choice of dress and she got it down to 4 options, with one preferred. The second appointment, she made the final decision with me there and chose the preferred dress. I loved her choice, but even if I didn't, it was her choice. Her wedding, her day, her choice and she was paying for the dress. She had my support no matter what dress she chose. I wish I could add a pic of her because she was so beautiful.

They can not see past the sample size to the beauty of the sculptural simplicity and dramatic detail of the dresses she's preferring. I totally get what she wants to have for her wedding dress. The mom & cousin are obviously enjoying that she's gained weight and they use that to insult her.The thing is, she has a man who can't wait to marry her. They don't. I hope she comes back with a more supportive group of friends.

My daughter and I went to Kleinfeld, and it was the best experience ever! Why? The first rule of bridal gown shopping is to be supportive. If you can't do so, don't go. Second, the dress is for the bride, not you. Lastly, if the bride is happy, be happy for her! We can't wait to see my daughter wear her stunning gown this November. FOOTNOTE: We did it on a small budget. The dress should compliment the beautiful bride, not overshadow her.

This was my experience dress shopping with my mom. My favorites she hated and made it about my weight. Thank god the wedding never happened so I could get a redo without her and with just my friends.
