It didn’t frame her body well, she completely lost shape and honestly the fabric was way too plain it was an understatement for a wedding dress and there’s some classic dresses that would of looked nicer
To be fair, when you bring people with you to go shopping for a dress, you're pretty much signing up to hear their opinions on the dresses. I would want my best friend to be completely honest with me. I mean, if your best friend can't tell you when something doesn't really suit you, who can?
U know, these guys should also include the wedding pictures of the clients at the end of the video.. That would be a great touch.. Edit : thank you soo much for the likes, guys.. Didn't know that soo many ppl thought the same thing as me
It would be nice but sometimes these people are picking out their dresses months or even over a year before their weddings and they can't wait that long to air an episode.
@@carodame9419 everyone wants to have a comfortable living yes , but it's not proper coming from a dress shop owner where people with different capabilities come dress shopping , a budget is a budget for a reason , not for him to take advantage of and try to stretch it
@@jasminackerman8248 agreed. The psychological guilt tripping in this show is palpable. Always. Especially if mum or dad is paying. I paid for my own wedding dress and wedding. Over €3000 for a dress..? I will help pay for my daughters dress, but no dress is worth that. Her poor mum had a budget that was just completely blown out of the water 😐.
As someone who works at a bridal salon, the things that the entourage was asking for (more detail, more drama, etc) are going to inherently drive up the price of a dress. If you want something more plain, it will usually be quite cheaper. But for the things they were asking, you get what you pay for.
Tea has been spilt At this session he asked at the beginning if there was any stretch in the budget and they said yes so he stretched the budget a bit. People always complain about SYTTD UK going over budget but from what i’ve seen people in the UK seem to have a lower budget than most in the US.
Because people misunderstand that the critique is supposed to be about the fit and not about they like personally and want the bride to wear. This. Is. The. Brides. Wedding. Not. Whomever. Came. Along. If the mum pays, fairs she can influence, but not that random friend.
Yeah but look, the third dress made her happier which means opinions can change from time to time. Buying the first dress won't guarantee full satisfaction.
I love how the blue haired girl clearly didn’t like the the final dress when it came out but she pretended to like it because the pride loved it so much! that’s a good friend
Because it's a tv show and if they just said 'yay pick any dress you like, we'll love it' there would be no show. They want to create a bit of drama else it would be boring.
I adore the fact that even though she has a passion for tattoos, she isn't confining herself to an "alternative" look. It's refreshing to see, after watching people who like to use the word "edgy" a million different times or push the idea that they are so "different" while hating on anything just because it's labeled "traditional" and still conforming to a subcategory of specific tastes and interests. Whereas this woman seems to be truly authentic in what she likes.
Mia Hansen She shows the multidimensions of us all. No one is confined to one thing, it's, we are a unique combination of it all. It was refreshing to see her reflect that. And finding the perfect dress to showcase that was icing on the cake
Great comments darling. I adore your soul. I absolutely agree and am pleased others are out there in internet land that can think the same in a weird 2019. Love and light sent your direction. Its like the difference between someone whos trying to be a " rebel" and edgy, verses someone whos truley authentic and so comfortable in their own skin and style. I hear ya. Too many women are trying so hard to be something edgy and it comes off as unattractive.
this haves nothing to do about the tattoos but i like how even when knowing her mom is paying she still has a small budget shoes a lot about her character
I’ll be honest I’ve always been a “tomboy.” I don’t like wearing dresses, I act more like a guy than a girl, and etc. But if I ever got married, I would definitely wear a traditional wedding dress. I think they’re so pretty and I’m always opened to keeping traditions with a bit of twist
the title made the friend sound bitchy but she was just giving her honest opinion on the first dress and was completely supportive of the other 2, they did her wrong
no, the friend was being bitching. just because someone dresses alternativly doesn't mean they always have to do something bold and untradtional, and her friend didn't respect that and not discurage it.
I think the biggest problem is that the bride was so happy with the first dress, and the friend was unnecessarily mean about it. There's a difference between saying "I don't really like that dress", and saying "Bye bye, ugly dress!" as the bride is walking away. Just seemed a bit childish to me, honestly.
Remember these shows are edited the fuck out of. They just do close ups of B-rol to make them look like they’re pissed. And only take certain dialogue. And Also the whole point of bringing your friends is to hear their opinion. Of course there’s a limit but it can be very helpful to have an entourage Also the bride clearly LOVED the third dress so what’s the harm?
I don’t think the blue was mean she was being honest if YOU bring somebody with you so they can tell you their opinions expect it to happen💀 If you can’t handle the opinions then don’t bring anybody or bring people with u and only tell them to say positive things😂 It amazes me how people get upset with others opinions when they are the one who asked for em! it’s like people can’t have opinions anymore without getting bashed for em
Okay but can we talk about how even this “rude and outspoken” friend is still 1000x better than the “friends” on the American show??? She still made it about the bride saying it sells her short rather than being one of the American bridesmaids who tell her she’s fat and go behind her back to try on dresses themselves instead.
Do you think maybe the American shows disproportionately show obnoxious clients and friends for the drama? I hate the way Americans are represented on media. I'm sure most brides spend a lovely day shopping for their dress with family and loved ones. Don't believe everything you see on television.
misaki ayuzawa He’s the most desired in his business. He did Princess Diana’s wedding gown. He’s been a rockstar ever since, and that was 37 years ago. Women generally go over budget at his store. They can’t say no to him.
Fat Lard I agree. She’s beautiful and the dress is beautiful but all I could keep looking at were the tattoos. It took away from the beauty of the bride. I got lost
This girl literally fits every dress she tries on, and plus she is so beautiful. She also seems soo kind and not to focused on staying «different from other girls» and «quirky». She knows who she is and it shows through.
marissa Rivera A graduation is a formal event, like the wedding. Of course you dont judge at the wedding. In this case they are shopping, you bring people with you shopping because you want their opinion. Stop being a vulgar child, and use your brain. She WANTED honest opinions. And she's getting them. And she got the right dress in the end. So stop whining.
Thisya Yogini The way Becca gave her opinion was disgusting. I don't understand why you're sticking up for such a horrible person, maybe you both have the same mindset because that would explain why I dislike both of you.
LifeOfKai *** The only reason Becca sounds and acts like a bitch is because the tv show wants drama. Duh! How else are they gonna get ratings? And naive children like you will buy it and bitch about it thus boosting their ratings. Not that anyone has a problem with that.
Yeah, they could hav tried on so many more. Everyone seemed to pressure the mum to say yes. There were plenty of other dresses that would have been cheaper and better.
they just mean it looks too mature and older for her personality. and shes such a bright, colorful, and gorgeous person and that dress would just be looked over at her wedding. no one would be like “wow her dress is amazing”
RU-vid, when will you ever learn hate break it to you but beauty don’t last well the hair starts to fall out and turning gray to white when you grow old and wrinkly just saying but she is beautiful but sadly it didn’t last I wish beauty last
honestly i think it was really shitty how they all reacted to the first dress. it was clear she loved it a lot. sure, it's nice to try multiple dresses. but you could see how disappointed she looked and her smile slowly fell from all the negative comments from some of the dearest people in her life. i'm glad she found a dress that could satisfy everyone though.
Toni Macaroni THANK YOU! My goodness they were so close to cruel it's a wonder. Pushing a person out of their comfort zone is one thing, but she was SO HAPPY with the first!
I know! I can't believe that these brides aren't just picking the dress that they like the most. If I was her I would have just bought the first one, like how ridiculous that their opinions should weigh so heavy. It's her wedding, her big memory. Her gang is over opinionated about things that don't effect their lives at all.
1.Its just how the show is 2.the brides maids (and others) come with her to help determine what dress they think will woo everyone at the wedding. If the bride didnt want input from her family and friends she wouldn't have brought them
Her best friend sounds like the “boring” one who is constantly overcompensating. Tattoos and colored hair don’t automatically make you interesting, boo.
I think the WORST mistake is taking other people w/ you to help pick out YOUR dress. It is your day......NOT theirs....and you should wear what you want! Pick what YOU want then take them to see it.
I think that depends on who you take. Some are jealous but some genuinely want their friend to look and feel the best. It worked out for this girl because she actually had a reaction to the dress she picked. Looking pretty and feeling like a million bucks is a huge difference. When it comes down to how much these people pay for these dresses you better cry because you feel amazing, not because you picked a dress you feel meh about 1 week before your wedding.
I think this is true. I HATED my mom's wedding dress but I didn't tell her anything and she picked it, she still loves it and that's all that matters. Had I told her something, she probably would have picked another dress because that's how she is
JNike eat a snickers and chill out. the bride was obviously fine, and that's the point of the original commenter, even though no one picks the first dress. you bashing them showed more about you than them. you might not be a loner, but with that attitude, you can bet people really don't like you and probably talk shit behind your back.
It was at this club in New York City called Slake. She was belly dancing dressed up as Akasha from Queen of the Damned at this event called the Endless Night Vampire Ball. Sadly they no longer do events in NYC.
It's kinda an amazing coincidence how the bride's name 'cervena' means 'red' in czech :D you know, the hair suits her personality and name :D (there is a slight difference, we use diacritics, so it is written as 'červená')
Johnny. The Fabulous Spider. it's not a coincidence 😂 Her ancestors are Czech and that's where she got her alias from (not a real name) The other girl is Rebecca Crow
Jesus CHRIST I know she's a model but I almost feel like she needs to be an art exhibit. And that's just her face! I adored the train of the first one with the lace trim
When she’s trying on the first dress at 3:04 it cuts to a different dress (the second one) where the best friend says “bye bye ugly dress” they get the clips messed up in editing or something???
Wow good catch. They probably did it on purpose to make it seem like more drama. After getting married in 2018 and doing my own dress shopping, I realized how fake these shows are :/
It was a clip from the second dress, actually. They edited that to make the friend look more like a bitch. If you look at the bottom of the dress you can tell.
They guilt mum into buying the dress by saying, "Do you think this is the right gown for her". Well, she's not gonna say no and have her daughter looked devastated...that said, the daughter should've chipped in a few hundred towards it. £3000 is a lot for a working class mum.
I feel like people should say their budget is like £2000 but really it is £2500 because the shop will make sure to find dresses that are way over your budget. Because they want you to say yes to a dress that you really like but is over the price point so that they can get more money from you
Ivy C. Maybe the mum wants to gift that to her! I know that I will be buying my daughter her wedding dress that way she can have the one she wants and I will make it happen no matter what.
@@turkishdelight2013 that's so sweet of you. I don't like my parents spending any money on me so that's why I feel like it's so odd when it's such a large expense especially when it's also over the mom's stated budget :(
Her final choice was one of those dresses that actually is so heavily elevated by the veil you can feel it when it goes on--not a forced moment like they often try to do on Say Yes. Just gorgeous, a very wise girl for going traditional!
I loved the first dress with her tatoos and hair colour. I feel like it doesn’t distract from her natural beauty, but at the same time you admire the dress to.
I felt it was a perfect match tbh, it's something you wouldn't expect, that what makes it special. Her tattoos, hair color and everything stood out a lot because the dress was so simple, it looked really great. Meanwhile the dress she took is more blending in with her tattoos and everything it doesn't actually feel that special to me even tho it's a more special dress
I absolutely loved the first dress; the contrast was perfect! And I think it matched her personality, but I'm glad she was able to walk away with something that still made her happy.
-.- her body is the wow factor...obviously a simpler traditional dress will highlight that... plus she needs a dress that will go with the feel of her wedding!
Why the hell not? That's her preference. We don't need to hear _what you think_ of her. . I hope this year in _2019_ you fix that thought pattern of yours, and if you don't atleast learn what is appropriate to say in public. _Shame on your soul_ .
Oh my! She is so gorgeous! Her face is so pretty and delicate with her dimples but the tattoos frame it perfectly. I wish the best for her and her man in their marriage
One and Only she's totally in a place to say it, she's on the internet watching something that someone signed if and chose to be on. If she didn't want anyone saying anything about her she shouldn't have acted so poorly on a show
