I agree. I have watched the US version of this and all the women want super revealing dresses. All I wanted for my wedding dress was a modest empire waist dress. I loved her final choice.

They do have that dress but just not "off the rack". 😑

First of all they have the styles, just not in every size. Which is why you see brides in dresses way too big clamped to fit to see if they like the style. A dress that off in size you do not want to alter to fit. You want it made from scratch. She also followed David's suggestion and contacted the designer who put in a rush to get the dress in her size. I do think the first dress may have worked. Since she could not visualize what he was saying, (I could not either) Daivd should have sketched it for her. She needed to reassurance they were on the same page, and he was not trying to sell her an alternate vison. We all know designers do that. She knew what SHE wanted.

@@Winner4HIM I got it though. She was losing weight. In my case I went on birth control pills and gained 10 pounds. I had to have last minute alternations and the dress was still a little tight. I did not eat anything for 3 days before my wedding so that dress would fit.

I had a Victorian style dress too. They are beautiful and classic. I had a large skirt, but you can style it with an A-line skirt and it's still just as beautiful.

Well to be fair, he told her to contact the designer to see if they could help her, and she did. Nothing he said was wrong - he gave her options, and told her if they didn't work, to come back and they'd do what they could.

Yes, the way it flowed in the back was really lovely, but I bet she couldn't see it from that angle. I liked the second dress a lot, too.

I think they are like that because of dancing - it gets very hot when you dance in long gown and long sleeves. But I do agree that they look much better.

going from a size 26 to a size 8 in a year, i'm thinking she must've had gastric bypass. either that or she went on some SEVERE intermittent fasting, those are the only 2 things i've ever seen to cause someone to drop that much weight that quickly.

She did this through slimming world but has since put all the weight back on

@@dietotakulosing weight that fast with intermittent fasting will give hanging loose skin all over body, she doesn't seem to have that. It's mostly some sort of surgery.

Kate also has an upper class English accent, the bride does not. David actually sounds more like Kate than the bride😆

I agree. It's not fair to put the salon under that kind of stress trying to make a bride happy when she put it on herself waiting that long. She's damned lucky they found something that worked for her that would fit. Most people are not that lucky.

The event was only 3 weeks from filming the episode. It didn't take much to follow her 3 weeks later and edit that new footage into the episode. It would be entirely different if it were several months away.

I think she said she had to wait until her weight loss was where she wanted it. If she was still losing or had started to gain a little it would not be wise to buy a dress way ahead of time. Tricky situation but very impressive. She was gorgeous and a class act.
