Tension beings to rise between bride Tiffany and her mother, as both disagree on the perfect preppy bridesmaid dress. Catch Say Yes to the Dress on TLC - Sky 133, Virgin 162, BT TV 323
When a womens clothing have pockets we can hardly fit a piece of lint in there! We also love pockets! I also get excited when I see clothing with decent size pockets cause it means no irrating handbag for this woman
Because of marketing techniques marketers make Women’s pockets small or don’t give us pockets so we are forced to buy purses so we can carry stuff comfortably. Yet men get huge pockets they can fit everything into.
Guys this show was shot in early 2000s to 2010 or so. Therefore most of the dresses in this show will look outdated. These dresses were the " in style" dresses during that time.
Why is this titled "bridesmaids mock brides preppy dress choice" when none of the bridesmaids mocked anything and were supportive of the bride's vision. If anyone mocked anything, it was the mom. unless I'm missing something
I didn’t see the bridesmaids mocking the dresses. Maybe they thought the last bridesmaid was mocking the dresses when she came out skipping. She wasn’t making fun of the dresses or making fun of the bride for choosing those dresses. If anything it was the mother who was doing the mocking.
From the choices provided, the dress that was picked was the best for the bride's theme. I loved how the sister bounced out of the dressing room and up to the mini-stage. She really sold each dress she was wearing, just because she was so adorable. I'm glad the mom finally chilled out and went with her daughter's pick. The groom does seem very nice. I wish them a long, joyous life together.
Forreaaaal. I went to a friends wedding once and the grooms mom wore a pure white prom dress. It looked like she was the one marrying her son. It was weird and real awkward.
I like how the mom eventually came around, because she considered her daughter's feelings and not just what she (the mom) liked, which I have seen before on this show.
"It doesn't wow me" It's not supposed to wow you mother. You are not the bride. It is not your wedding. It's your daughter's wedding. It's supposed to wow her and her bridesmaids. Jeez
I'm the mother of one son. I have a beautiful granddaughter! (Don't we all? Lol) I would feel privileged just to be with her, to watch her pick out bridesmaids' dresses. Whatever, and I do mean whatever she picks would be fine with me. It's her day!
Mum: "She has wonderful taste..... which she got from me" Also Mum: wearing a clashing print with a hairstyle which stands up to salute the whole bridal salon
That little navy dress that the bride picked is SO reusable! Unlike many bride's maid dresses, these ladies will be able to pull these dresses out for parties, dinners, dances...a little accessorizing goes a long way!
That consultant has no idea what a tea length dress is. The ones she was calling tea length fell barely over the girl's knees! That's known as a midi dress, or knee length. A true tea length hits at the shin, a couple of inches above where a maxi dress would hit. That consultant wasn't on point at all. Lori needs to correct her.
"She has wonderful taste, just like me" says the mom with the clown make up and the 1960's print blouse. Mom isn't pleasant, and can't resist getting out a dig about her daughter. "She's sweet and kind, .....when she gets her own way". That's mean.
LoL..I remember my bridesmaids gowns. I was a bridesmaid in all of my bridesmaids weddings and I was forced to wear a hitious gown/dress I hated. They all said "You can cut it off and wear it again", yeah right! It was my turn to get Even! In NY on Sats they open the bridal buildings to the public. 100+ 10-20 story buildings with 1000's of wholesale stores. Long story short, I picked out light green dotted swiss Southern Bell off the shoulders HOOP dresses, parasals (I am in NJ) and all for the low low low price of $25 each. I bought them!!! All the girls had to do was get them altered. They hated them!! Maybe a little more then I hated the dresses/ gowns they made me wear. At least I couldn't say you can cut them off and wear them another time. It did really look great with the theme. I had horses and buggies for everyone, with a county theme, when it wasn't popular yet. Of course we had to get a police escort since we went thought 4 towns, straight up a main Hwy, but we all had fun in the end with the waving and cars beeping on our 1 hour ride to the venue.
Honestly the bridesmaid dress she picked is something I would wear out now. Especially in navy. Also the mum saying 'it doesn't wow me'... it's not supposed to! You're supposed to be looking at the bride!
Me seeing the first round: What the heck is the thinking here... "That's Mom's pick." NOW I understand! "Doesn't that fit with your image of the wedding?" Me: Are visioning a wedding OR a chicken nest?
This is why if I get married I'm wearing jeans and a t-shirt, when I was growing up I have never thought of getting married or even dreamed of what it's going to look like
