I like how this entire episode happened because Fugger was too socially undeveloped to explain that he sprained his ankle and will only be in a wheelchair for a few weeks.
To break the funny, lots of people in wheelchairs can actually walk. They just can't risk walking all the time. Fuggers just anxious and lazy though lmao.
kinda trippy to see fugger, after a whole series spent long-windedly trying to convince people that he's some all knowing cool badass, go entirely speechless when the energy drink guy tells him he's amazing
If they’re planning on trying some real character development later, it’d make sense if someone like fugger has no clue what it’s like to be praised or encouraged in life
I think he's feeling guilty that he is just a poser while the energy guy thinks he is a genuine, permanently disabled, person practicing basketball like Skid.
Probably a little that and a little bit of realizing how rough it is for Skid. He's kind of reflecting on it when he see's the price on the electronic wheelchair, and at the end he gets the unearned praise... that or it's just a joke and we are looking way too deep into it. Either way I love this ep.
I don't know what the artist's intentions may be, but i think this is some of the best art about living in American poverty that I've ever come across.
Fugger is genuinely one of the best written characters in anything I've ever seen in my life. His arrogant ignorance is nuts. It's just...so good. He's so sure of himself but also so sure he has no idea what he's talking about. It's hard to describe. He's very, very good
i think its just one of those stereotypes of kids. being young so just everythings "oh yeah i guess that makes sense." cause they dont know otherwise. it also helps that technically fugger was right about the jacket thing making anything else silly he says possibly have some merit which makes it easier to manipulate kids. i know being one of those kids.
I’ve been watching Bridge Kids for a while now, but it just occurred to me that Moe and Skid actually have a much healthier relationship than Lars and Fugger. (Or at least less imbalanced) Skid usually keeps Moe’s overzealousness in check, and they legitimately encourage one another. Fugger just thinks he knows everything, and Lars lets him walk (or roll in this case) all over him.
@@chanI guess so. It just didn’t occur me because they’re typically antagonists in the traditional sense. They’re toxic, but quite healthy towards one another.
Also, a little detail I’ve noticed does anytime moe and skid are being antagonistic, it’s almost entirely directed at fugger and they leave Lars the hell alone really. At least from the episodes I’ve seen. Like they bully him for the silliest stuff or projected ignorance, but they leave his friend alone. Which I find interesting.
@@EclipseOverSalem oh, I just think it’s funny that fugger is absolutely worthy of going after and dunking on, but usually the things they go after him for aren’t really part of the problem (the messenger bag from killer bars, and him using a wheelchair because he’s injured) but they don’t bother Lars. They’re at a special level of emotional maturity Where they’re childish enough go after the annoying guy for something that’s… fine actually rather than the actual BS he gets up to, but still mature enough to not go after his homie on guilt by association terms. Which I think, is very accurate to the maturity levels of your average freshman in high school and that’s beautiful.
I just found it funny how fugger deemed skid's wheelchair, a whole ass electric wheelchair that he pretty much needs 24/7 because he was literally born *permanently disabled* and has no choice, an "unfair advantage" 😭
I like the fact that no one in this show is really a villian, all of them are just somewhat akward, Moe and Skid just seem like good friends, it was honestky wholesome when Moe got mad at Fugger because he thought he was mocking Skid, honestly, it's a weird feeling to say I'm rooting for pretty much everyone, but they're all just so likeable! Great episode, keep up the great work!
Moe and Skid are really cute characters packaged in a non-traditionally-cute box. It's not a kind of subversion you see very often. The white kids from the hood stereotype characters but they're just kinda vibing and have high self esteem and are good to each other, it's really sweet.
Lars is the guy with the long nose, the off brand gangster is moe, the off brand gangster in the chair is skid, and the guy with the braces is fugger. Those are the names
I love how long these conversations go on for, it's so awkward and realistic. Also, "We're walking through the valley of the shadow of death" absolutely killed me
“hey fellas! Uh… how you been, what’s uh… what’s going on..? “ “ *bro we are in the PLAUGES of despair rn, WE ARE WALKING THROUGH THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH* “
Fugger trying to come off as hyperintelligent while having no idea what he is talking about, lars being quiet and mumbly, moe having no filter as well as his hilarious character design, skid kind of just being there, all this makes for a phenomenal webseries I really want to see more of.
Okay but as a wheelchair user I really appreciate how this pointed out how ridiculously expensive quality mobility aids are. I know I sure can't afford to replace my very crappy broken down wheelchair rn. The joke about how "disabled people must make a lot of money" cracked me up becahse that's so painfully accurate to how some able bodied people think.
I don't think most (rational) abled folks think disabled folks make a lot of money, I mean half the time people can't even afford basic shit like fracture treatments. I think its just a very loud, very specific genre of miserable person who thinks the unabled are like....living off the welfare of other people and leeching off them specifically. Very bizarre way of thinking.
Dude the fact that these full episodes are uploaded and not put behind a paywall is really noble and charitable to people who just want to enjoy good content. Thank you for that. I hope a large portion of people who watch these can contribute to keep you able to do the work you do
can we all just agree that Joey is one of the most humble and nicest characters in the show. The dude it built like a greek god but doesn't look down on anybody and speaks the truth about just putting in hard work and dedication if you want to achieve things in life.
"The only way to get good at something is practice and dedication." "Nah bro fuck that shit we need somethin tonight!" Me any time I try to learn a new hobby 😆
I love moe dude. He’s probably my fav character in the series just because of the confidence in what he says although it’s completely wrong. He’s cocky but not to a point where it’s annoying
It’s not annoying because he knows when to stop being delusional to some degree but then gets sent straight back into it kinda like when they had Lars brother it was “dude we look like pedophiles we are fucked” to immediately trying to use him as their little bro to pick up chicks
The two other customers at Mobility Depot are the lucky survivors of the SWAT operation at the end of the "Killer Bars" episode! Lovely continuity detail
Just binged the entire series so far its so good really hoping this gets picked up by adult swim cant believe how good this is made independently. Thank you for your work!
I don't know if its the awkwardness of these characters or how much I can relate to them, but these animations feel more genuine than most movies/shows I've ever watched lol. As always, love to see it ❤
I'm so gonna hit my buddy with a "Bro I'm in a plague of disappear, I'm walking through the valley of the shadow of DEATH, I NEED your help!" and just casually ask to bum a beer off them
there is so much awkward pathos and understated artistry to this series it's something seriously special and i can tell you i will be thankful for every ep we get, this shit rules
im actually so surprised at how well written this series is, its amazing! everyone is a stereotype of teenagers but they also have their own personality and beliefs in a way that makes them feel real. Not the kind of thing you expect from a youtube series, but its so good it quickly became one of my favorites! amazing work dude, cant wait for the next episode
I was balling my eyes out before watching this and now I’m better thanks man ik this is prolly not why you make this stuff but you really helped a brother out tonight wit the laughs so thank you
Bro bridge kids gotta be one of the most fire videos I watched I’ve seen all so far but I have to replay them always making my day love what you guys do
Hey man, just want to let you know yall are really onto something with Bridge Kids. As soon as this episode was recommended to me, I ended up watching all of them over the next 2 days. I sent them to a friend who also binge watched them instantly. These are hilarious
6:05 “Walking through the valley of the shadow of death” sounds familiar from Isaiah’s manifesto🤩 nvm it was gangsters paradise but it sounded like something Isaiah WOULD say lol
Bro, this series is amazing it’s an absurd how underrated this is, rlly hope the algorithm has a moment of light and shows this to the right amount of people
If the Clerks Animated TV Show was written like this , it wouldve won awards. Love your work , Im sorry I mention clerks but thats just the vibe Bridge Kids Gives me
These are always so much better than 90% of "adult cartoons" that are available. You should definitely have your own Adult Swim show. Feeling nostalgic like I'm watching Adult Swim on my CRT late at night and my parents don't know I'm still up
