i really like that the 2 rapper guys genuinally liked the school shooters writing Like i bet if he chose to like, trust them and share with others he'd get friends
thats the irony with this whole episode, not only did Moe & Skid (the name of the rappers) like Issiah's (school shooter kid's) writing so did every other kid in the school, Moe & SKid genuinley grew an audience reading it of people who related to Issiah's writings. A lot of people who feel like theyre alone or the only one suffering or wolves in the world of sheep really are never alone. Most everyone is a bit sad deep down you're never alone in you struggles, and art and in this case poetry can be a powerful way to relate to people on a deep level. In a way art really is like getting a piece of yoruself expressing a part of your emotion and putting it out there and eventually you're gonna find someone who feels the same way as you. Even if this is a really goofy over exaggerated example of it (Issiah's writings are genuinley beyond concering and not something I think most could ever relate too) I think the way this episode kinda potrays that message is very true in a way. Issiah no matter how much he thinks he's alone as someone being tortured by the education system and struggling with loneliness isnt alone in that regard. Some people are just better at putting on masks.
@@guyrocketram9698If you cut the mass shooting part, I can relate to this character, in a less exagerrated way, I too happen to think that everyone else has too much of an easy-going view on things compared to me, like that they all think life is minimalized to society, the problem is that society is not very cool to be honest and if that's all life has to offer then I might want to have been born in another reality. I feel like everyone ignores me, and I feel like alienated from everything around, everything feels like pain and it feels frustating that I never meet people who can see it too and make things a bit easier. I too feel alone on this,. This character felt like calling me out, so it made me feel a bit embarassed, it's not the first time someone I can relate too gets parodyzed but in this one it's funny and the character has qualities that make him actually unlikeable like the fact that he wants to kill everyone(to be honest that doesn't make him very unlikeable since everyone else in this series is 100 times more unlikeable than him expect for the 2 protagonists and the little brother lol,but at least it's an actual negative trait that doesn't make you feel like maybe the parody is being too harsh let's say)
@@Medlair i mean even Fugger (the fat kid with the teeth) and Lars (the punk kid with the nose. i know the names are hard to remember since theyre never actually stated in the dialogue and just in the credits.) are both kinda screwed up too. Fugger of course called the cops and got many people killed and felt pretty much no remorse at all, even feeling it it was just and Lars too didnt really seem too scared or upset by the events going on either even though he knew it was all just a harnless music thing and not an actual shooting. Also, Lars in the newest episode is shockingly ok with the idea of his little brother being dead only being mildly worried on what his parents would do to him. i think issiah is treating with quite a bit of empathy throughout the show which is why you find him so relatable despite how kinda detestable he can be. the show makes a point to kinda treat him as sad and lonely and even does things like how awkwardly happy he gets around Lars showing his small acts of kindness towards him as them being friends, and him outright crying when Fugger and Lars leave his house in the birthday episode. he is really is nuanced and im really glad you were able to see yourself in him since I think thats a sign of a well written character.
if these dudes ever make it big they should make a movie but just have it be a super super long episode, as in, no character development, no big stakes, just some mundane entertaining shit as per usual.
A few more syllables in the first bar, its game "Be solving problems fast like the Tyler Durden of math class/But you don't know that cause you get no ass"
Honestly the shooter kid if he wasn't so socially stupid he could have been a ghost writer for their rap group. Best of both worlds. Kid might even score some points with the peeps who hear the deeper meaning
i like how the moral of the story is that most people think the same way, even if you think you cant make friends because you think you think different, if they see your talent they will think you are awesome
Personally I wouldn't, but not because I don't like it. In fact, I like it enough that I'd rather see it stay indie and keep its creativity than die on TV as a soulless husk.
@@baddestpuppet696 LOL it’s good it’s just really slow and dry and bland, it’s too boring for the average person, I like this episode but couldn’t imagine watching this on a regular basis
@@stevesharpe3370honestly I think that’s what makes it pretty good. Kind of like Bob’s Burgers, it’s not like South Park where it’s funny all the time, but it has funny moments, kind of like how this is just sort of cinematic and theatrically entertaining while being funny on some moments.
I randomly stumbled across this series and I really love it omg. I usually dont like "ugly" cartoony characters but these are done so perfectly it fits the show perfectly, its kinda like rainbow friends in terms of nicely done "ugly" characters ❤❤ Im not good with words so you might not understand this comment completely but take it as a MASSIVE compliment!!
"Ugly" is probably not the word I would use probably "strange", "ecctrenic" or "off" sure you got the nerd with the bumps on his head, but not too hideous.
That percent gag at around 7:35 came at me like a 3 hit combo - it caught me off guard with the “oh haha he’s going to be offended that it’s not 100%” into “wait 15%? Oh I guess he wants to give 110-“ which very quickly led into “lmao maths hard” Amazing work - it feels oddly nostalgic. As many others are saying, it reminds me of highschool and what I passively observed when I was much more of an introvert/loner ahahah
I find it so hilarious that the rapper kids go through the manifesto without ever realizing it's just the deranged thoughts of a soon-to-be school shooter, even when the details get increasingly specific and disturbing lol
I’m not typically one to laugh out loud, but when Moe called the manifesto some of the dopest bars he had ever heard it practically forced a big laugh out of me.
I like how all of the incidental characters got absolutely eviscerated, but the main characters were simply subjected to getting repeatedly bonked on the head.
I dont understand how lars tolerates fugger and doesnt get affected by his cringe but whenever is nearby his instincts kick in and he is capable of expressing polite revulsion
I.jusy discovered your show and I'm genuinely entertained. Hella good writing and the animation is great too and the dudes are interesting. Oh and bottom line is this shit funny af
@@B-A.B oh my god i know right?? isaiah is such a funny character but they made him look like dylan klebold if he was a snapping turtle LOL that would make sense though based off the blonde hair and the trenchcoat look he has going on, the jokes are actually pretty tasteful somehow?? LOL
Man, this feels like the EXACT kind of shit I'd have been making in high-school, it's incredible how much this is speaking to what my dumbass fucking friends were all like. What a stellar window into a bygone era of teen dumbassitude!
How has Adult Swim not pick this show up yet? It's sooooo good and a perfect fit for their content. The creator(s) deserves money and fame for this masterpiece. This content is platinum for real
Love these animations, guys. Been watching them on break at my night shift job lately. Super comfy, appreciate the way the dialogue flows and the idiosyncratic art style as well. Not only do I hope you guys keep it up, but I hope these get a lot more views soon. Good stuff. :)
im in love with this show. i find the artstyle/colorscheme similar to smiling friends. i like smiling friends because of its odd humor, but i can understand that that's not for everyone. bridge kids, however, has a more conventional dry humor which i love and is more appealing to a general audience. this show is doing a great job of creating relatable (and comically amplified) characters. so excited to see what comes next and i really hope they get picked up by a network if that's something the creators want.
