My dad Alan Pittard did the announcement at Bridgend in the early 1950s. He moved to West Yorkshire and had to stand in for the regular announcer but was banned as nobody could understand him because of his accent.

@@mablem487the Milford Haven train was terminated short at Carmarthen so they wouldn’t need to advertise it as a request stop as the train wasn’t going that far
