I was changing a water meter in Oxford and the 2inch line blew out in back of 3 Bridgeports and 2Hartfords and it took me about ten minutes to get the water off at the street and when I walked back in the bldg there were 4guys in there that had to hold each other back from kicking the shit out of me. Needless to say I stayed a couple hours late and dried the machines and every little part from the shelves, that was a shitty day .I learned alot about those machines that day. 😂😂😂
Cleaning up any mess sucks but cleaning up water blows even more. Hey accidents happen that’s how we get better at what we do. But that deff sucks!!! Ahh good times!
Yes definitely. Cost, power consumption takes up way less space and easy of putting this thing together. And it fully programmable. When it stops if you notice on video it comes to a stop very slowly even though the rpm is slowing it’s still under power when doing so. Which can be changed to slam on the brakes instantly or just let it slow by friction of the machine. I haven’t played with the programming all that much. But I will set it up so it works best for all applications.
Man. I’m really struggling with deciding what to do. I really prefer to use the forward/reverse switch (for back gear/low rpm use) and I plan on also buying a cnc mill within the next year so if I buy a vfd/smaller rpc it would only be a temp solution. The biggest benefit of the VFD is mounting it to the machine and being able to use the same plug in as my lathe (240v)
