Edwina is supposed to be 18, I believe, and Kate is 23. Anthony is 29 or 30. Something like that. But then again, back then it was usual for men to marry the debutantes. Yes, so all the dresses of the debutantes being presented to the Queen were exactly the same, including that ridiculous feathered headpiece. Loved your reaction as always, girl! I had the EXACT same reaction to Anthony. The glow up without those stupid muttonchops was for real! I kept doing the same double takes because I was here for it now. Edwina, Kate, and their mother are all gorgeous. I also wanted all the tea about why the Queen was so capital P, Pissed at Lady Mary. I love Pen & Eloise's friendship but I could see a train coming down the tracks because of how LW hurt Colin last season. Plus, LW changing tracks right after their conversation? Suspicious. Kate & Anthony had immediate and undeniable chemistry but he wants that diamond.

Women debuted at 17, in the books the author stuck to this age. I’m not sure if the show does as well though because Daphne was 18, because Pen mentions how Eloise was allowed to delay a year and her and Pen are the same age, 17.

Queen Charlotte set the dress code for presentations to reflect her own fashion. Historians and the Queen Charlotte season attribute her choice to dress in outdated fashions to her husband. That he would more likely recognize her if she looked like her younger self. Imagine meeting your husband in the 1990s and 30 years later youre still wearing the same shit you did back then.
