I thought I was the only one who felt this way! I really enjoyed the show but felt a lot of the love build up was missing between the two. The build for polin throughout season 1 and 2 was painful to watch for Pen, I hope the second part makes up for it!

You hit the mail with just about every issue I had this season! And I miss Kanthony, I didn’t need to be the sole focus again since it’s not their season but I was at least hoping for some breadcrumbs post honeymoon - like how Kate is struggling to adjust as Vicountess and feeling unmoored since she’s no longer taking care of her sister & mother, or Anthony struggling with having an outspoken wife like Kate who won’t stand for unilateral estate decisions made without her input - this season was just a slog to get through. We’ll see if they can turn it around in Part 2.

I have been seriously disappointed with the "steamy scenes" as last season and season 1 were such electric chemistry. This fell flat for me as well! Thank you!

This season was so slow to the point you get bored with the slow paced of the show.

💯 The writing was really bad. They totally trashed Colin's character in these episodes. All talking and no showing. I'm so disappointed.

Felt colins glowup was so forced

I’ve been saying this about season three since day one it was lackluster. It was disappointing and way too quick no buildup no real cute. Nice scenes with no real scenes of them falling in love, and I hate the fact that everyone points when I say it was way too quick there was no substance to it, but they were childhood friends. They have loved each other for even if Colin didn’t know it, but I’m like I don’t care. This is their season. They were supposed to show us all that, just because they’re old friends do we get skimmed out on a falling in love story

Pen and Colin screen time not enough, Colin’s awaking for Pen too rushed and too many side plots. 😢

Honestly, I wanted more of all the side characters stories (except the Mondrich family *yawn*) because Colin and Penelope just didn't do it. As stupid as they are, the Featherington sex education side plot was more interesting than watching Colin flirt his way around a ballroom.

Lackluster. That's all i can say. I didn't feel a single giddy moment like i did with the other seasons. Hopefully, part 2 is a redemption arc.

I don't think it will be better on the part 2, sorry but Luke Newton isn't convincing in his acting, especially when he tries to be the sexy guy, or in-love guy. I only like him in one unique scene : when he was shy and lost his word in front of Penelope.

I had high hopes for this season, but it started wrong with the split season. (Netflix , how dare you?! The "I'll help you find a husband" storyline was really interesting, but it ended with Pen being humiliated... AGAIN! Also, is Colin supposed to be anything other than hot this season? He gives NPC! The scenes look so bland. Bridgerton is known for cinematography that looks dripped in Easter candy, but season 3 isn't as pretty. Shonda might be spread too thin. I hate that Pen is getting the struggle season!

Maybe Pen fell asleep in the carriage and is dreaming. I hope so because this was incredibly rushed and they needed to flesh out their development much more. Im just not buying Colin having a random change of heart so quick! they should have built it up in a natural way that only comes with time. Also the last 4 episodes needs to focus more on Colin and Pen.

I'm hoping all of your concerns will be addressed in the back half. Weirdly, I'm wondering if the show will go against the books & it'll end in a breakup. What if they changed the couple order because this is just a taste of Polin? I just don't see how we can forgive Pen so easily 4 what she did to Marina. Fantastic video as always. I enjoyed it, but less than the previous seasons. For me personally, there was less amount of chemistry between characters/actors (I watched the idea of you a few weeks ago (and also read the book way before that); that's chemistry pouring thorugh the screen. Just like george and charlotte in the Queen Charlotte's series. Even the wall climbing scene had so much chemistry!!! Loved it. A lot of people think the fact some of us felt things were missing is a direct attack to the actress, etc. It's not. To me, it might be the writing, the editing, even the acting (cant help thinking of the bad chemistry allegations during Amber Heard/Johny Depp trial with regards to her acting in the aquaman movie. Its something that happens among actors). The climatic carriage scene felt like something was missing (to me at least). So different to other build-up relationships/scenes in previous seasons. I was just talking about this with my daughter today and also other bits that people have different opinions about. For instance, she adored the dark green dress. I didn't like it much. My favourite was the mint colour one with those dark leaves embroidered. Gorgeous on the actress. I cannot say I got bored. I just really missed some extra sparkle between the leading characters, like the ones we have already experienced in other seasons or spin offs. ❤

Colin declaring that he is a true gentleman in season 1. [Means] As a gentlemen he considered himself worthy of veneration due to earn respect not handed it on a silver platter, his unearned entitlement had never warped his sense of moral conscience. He does not see women as decorative object or a prize to be won. 🥇 This is why Penelope loves him. ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️ I honestly won’t ever forgive the writers for ruining the character. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊 When they took Colins, sweet innocence and naivety. Because if he had feelings all along (I think he did and S2 had us believing he did) then he should have been increasingly unhinged by not hearing back from her. And worried about her. 2. This is a man who pledged to take care of her in season 2. Where is he? Instead he just goes off to be a slut in 17 cities? And doesn’t give two shits about a friend not writing him back? Just goes and fucks some more sex workers and Countesses? Let me write about it in my journals too! 3. His apology was glib and unworthy of Penelope and their friendship. They made it about Penelope thinking she is unworthy not Colin being a drunk ass and insulting her to eligible bachelors/her chances on the marriage mart. 4.He didn’t bring presents🎁 back for her. So was he even thinking 💭 about her ? At all ? You would think when you’re shopping for presents for everybody someone who special to you would be on your mind to get them something. 5.Colin comes back does the same whoring about the entire time he is teaching Penelope lessons (for weeks apparently) and then kisses her because he feels sorry for her. Ugh that is so gross to me. 6.Then because he is supposedly so despondent over Pen having a suitor, he goes back to fuck some sex workers again. 7.He only gets up enough courage to tell Penelope how he feels once he knows she is getting proposed to. Like he couldn’t call on her, not even once, or bribe her maid again, to see her and explain how he feels. Instead it’s poor me me me me…. I keep asking myself why I should want ShondaColin with Penelope. She deserves sooo much better than him. Ugh… 😣 💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋 It would’ve been just as spicy 🥵 repressed newly discovering virgins. A story where Colin and Penelope have their first awakening together. I was hoping that the show would give me an improved version of Odysseus the wayward wanderer. as Colin. 🗺️I didn’t like Greek myth Odysseus. He’s always been supported and taken care of. The level of the disrespect of how they destroyed Colins character in comparison to every single other male character. Is an unforgivable offense. 1. Anthony at least had the decency to get himself a consistent mistress for years. so he’s not fathering potential bastards to be ignored. An STD’s 2. Benedict doesn’t pay for prostitutes. He sleeps with willing independent empowered women. not systematically oppressed prostitutes. 3. John Sterling is adorable. 4. And all the different plots 🥴 it’s their season! If the show runner best bet was “I’m gonna help you find a husband and I’m obviously be jealous” was the best she came up with, she has to go! It’s still humiliating for Pen. Why bring a suitor for him to suddenly out of nowhere like her?! He should like her for who she is… parte 2 will be a flop too.
