As a bisexual woman... this is just ridiculous. Don't change the sexuality of characters or their gender just to force diversity. I don't need representation in everything I watch. Actually I don't need it at all. Such nonsense.
also as a bisexual woman, I agree. I loved Michael and Francesca's story after John passed; why change it. this isn't the natural diversity we've gotten from the show so far; this is forced
Plus it would not look real at all as homosexuality was not the thing in regency era at all as we saw mr. Granville the painter who is gay but hides it are everywhere n say I'm risking my life for love it would be so bad if they change the sexuality of main character specifically when Michael n Francesca had a dynamic n complicated love story!!
I hope this ridiculous spoiler of Colin going to a brothel after finding out Penelope's lady Whistledown isn't true. Even if he doesn't do anything, setting precedent of Colin going to a whorehouse, every time they have an argument is fucked up they are engaged and Collin going back to that place at that point would just make him an asshole and Colin doesn't deserve her. It would ruin their whole love story for me.
Exactly. All the other men were at least loyal after engagement. Amd frankly all of them had sex after marriage so far. Colin and Pen going all the way before wedding is a bit weird, due to the time and since pen ismso inexperienced too
I totally agree. that's so fucked up. Pen might as well go with the guy offering her a real estate manager position for a wife at least he is up front with his arrangement, loveless but a happy one. There will be so much unhappiness in Pen's future with Colin seeking pleasure and distraction elsewhere when he is not happy with his wife. if she runs to Dealing's arms to talk about her unhappiness, how would he like it?
I know. Really. I’m so frustrated and utterly annoyed at having to wait another 2 weeks and 6 days for part two. In the meantime I’m reading the second half of the book Romancing Mr Bridgerton which season 3 is based on…. So I’m getting my fill of the Pen/Colin love story now
I love Penelope and Lady Danbury's friendship in the book and I hope they include it in part 2 of season 3 of the show. I think Lady Danbury and Penelope really can relate to each other Lady Danbury knows about making it in a world that doesn't truly accept you and creating something for yourself. I think she would be able to help Penelope, if the queen finds out she's LW And she might even help Colin and Eloise understand her, not everyone's born into a privileged bubble of love and family support
Did Julia Quinn not make the stipulations that all of the Bridgertons were supposed to marry their book canon partners? Because that’s why we’re here. To see these books become realized.
We’re really not. The books are formulaic, predictable and aren’t that good tbh. (Wth does nibbling the corner of her mouth even mean??) We’re here for the show. The actors, the fashion, the interesting hairdo’s and the underlying social commentary.
@@Khiarika1you have a point. For starters, I think a new character like Theo Sharpe would suit Eloise more compared to Philip Crane in the book. The rest of it, I just take it as it is, enjoy it for what it is 🤣
@@Khiarika1 if we’re not here to see the romances in the books realized, and the books are too boring why name the show after the books? They might as well call it something else and make their own plots. 🤷🏼♀️
You got everything correct except for episodes 7 & 8 because nobody has seen it not even influencers it is a big secret. The only things that are confirmed for episodes 7&8 are Pen&Colin wedding and Pen reveals herself to everybody as a Lady Whistledown. I could believe in them having full on fight and shouting but brothel is a complete rumour at the moment. Why would episode 7 be called "joining of hands" if they don't make up. I'm almost certain Colin gets over it in episode 7
I hope this is true! 🙏 I hate these brothel visits it’s making Colin out to be a player. When he’s so loyal and loving to Penelope in the books plus he writes a lot they’re not really covering that in the show. 😅
I'm sure there is a reason they left until the end of episode 6 for Colin to find out the truth. And the reason is to keep you engaged in the show and for Colin to get over it quickly. He loves Penelope and I'm certain Eloise will come into play as well. I'm sure there will be fight, shouting and tears but it is not possible for them to not make up from episode 7 until the end of episode 8. There is just no time.
Ugghh I hope you're right about the brothel and that it's not true. Him not going there should already be an indication that he is done with that life and even though he is mad at Penelope he would never do such a thing anymore. He always declares himself a gentleman and it's already been declared I think in episode 2 when he was talking about having these trysts and that aren't they gentlemen?
this!... the episodes 5 and 6 were send by netflix to reviewers, even though they could only talk about 4 episodes, some posted the reviews about the entirety of what they have seen and thats why there are so many leaks but 7 and 8 are lock down, since not even important press has watch them, so its just theories mostly created by people online, so substance
She names her son John to honor her first love. It's an important part of Francesca and Michael's story not to forget John, who they both loved very much
@@gloriathebooklover8693violet isnt owed grandchildren. Even if Francesca doesn’t have children. Violet will still have plenty grandchildren, she does have 8 kids….
@@pinktion3660 give me a break, Francesca all of her character was her desire of having children as she remains alone after John's death and now they freaking want her a lesbian! and they erase Michael who is the most loved husband in all that books. Be serious
@kissofarose100 but it's not the books and they've changed a lot already. TV Francesca is not like that, she hasn't said a word about children and only wants to marry so she can stop going to balls
Perhaps the changing of Michael to Michaela is a rumour showrunners spread in order to see how far they can go to change the original storyline before they‘re going to lose viewers. I think that Benedict‘s and Eloise‘s storyline will be told before we get to know about Francesca‘s story as she is married to John for two years before he dies in the books. So the script for Francesca‘s story (in season 6 probably) is soon to be written. And when the producers and writers see how fans of the show might not want to see it, because the storyline changes go to far by making Michael a woman in the show, they might be not doing it.
I feel like it’s a fake rumor bc they’re gonna finally make Benedict gay and they know they have a good amount of fans of Sophie but it’s the one that easily makes the most sense to change. I think they know that Michael is such a fan favorite that we’ll revolt as fans and they’re hoping the fake rumor will soften the blow, or at least that’s what I’m telling myself in denial bc I cannot take not having Michael they already took away John’s Scottish accent. Fcking sucks.
As an author myself, I HATE it when they fundamentally change characters so carefully crafted to the point that the entire storyline will have to be thrown out and rewritten for the sake of DEI ratings. Why can’t they just tell the stories that were so loved in the books? If I wanted a fundamentally different story I’d go read the fan fiction on Watpad. If you are adapting the books to screen adapt the books… NOT the watpad fan fictions!
"carefully crafted"...that's very rare with Julia Quinn's male characters. I agree, Michael is one of the good ones, but "carefully crafted" is not it for some like Philip Crane or book Benedict which makes their love interests very shallow characters. It wouldn't be surprising if Benedict ends up with a man (so the whole "let's be my mistress" thing would make more sense as we saw how Brismley and Arnold were living their love) but Francesca? I agree, it doesn't suit her storyline
Michael is the most beloved Bridgerton husband. Plus the plot will change completely if they change him into a woman. You see, the plot of the book focused on how Michael feels like he stole the earldom from John and that he is in love with his wife. Plus there is also the fertility issue of Francesca. I don't know. I think it's great to adapt on tv the story of a guilt-ridden man who has long been in love with his bestfriend-cousin's wife. It calls for some depth in acting and plotline at the same time. The stories and characters are already perfect as it is, why change them? It's proven that once showrunners change stories from the books, it ruins everything and it does more bad than good. Good luck with being cancelled.
@@thenextseason I think its just to through fans off its probably sophie being introduced i dont think they would do that us i have no problem with other charcters being bi or gay its just miachel and francesas story is very deep
Because when Brimsley and Reynolds had a romance it was even earlier in history, 18th century, at that time even Lady Danbury being out in the ton was revolutionary. Apparently producers decided that in 19th century everything has changed even though in reality it didnt
Nobody said they would be out. If its really a women they would just live together as she inherits her husbands estate or something like that. Obviously there is no gay marriage in this show.
All 'predictions' from 5&6 are mere leaks, and from 7&8 - speculations. Benedict was never attracted to a man. His plot with Mr Granville was just to show how open-minded and not judging he is. He's going to marry a maid, for Pete's sake, of course it can't be out of nowhere. Mr Alli, who plays John Stirling, is probably just using term 'them' because that's his preference to do so, and he likely is generally refering to people like that. Michael won't be cast for a while, because it's unlikely Francesca's season is next (according to books she was married for two years before her first husband died, and then remained widow for a while). Don't get your hopes up for those. Showrunners were clear that all Bridgertons will get their happy endings. In Regency Era that means marriage for love, and same-sex marriages were not even banned then, but forbidden and punished. As much as Bridgerton is kind of a fairytale, Mr Granville made it clear that not in this aspect. Benedict will marry Sophie. Francesca will marry Michael. That's all we could get.
Yes , I also think so. I don't know from where did they get this ,that he is bi 🤦🤦like make a basic analysis of a situation. They have portraid him as a men h*** but not bi(I don't know if he is like this in the books?). If they do this it will be soooo disappointing
Let’s all remain calm. They likely haven’t written the next seasons. Michaela could just be to throw people off… disappointed if there isn’t a Sophie introduction. The Benedict - Sophie story was my favorite of the books.
Yes, everyone assumes this is all 100% true... We don't know yet. I'm sure the ones about episode 5&6 are true because there's picture evidence but the ones for the remaining episodes are less certain
Excellent point. I remember during the first two seasons there were rumors they would gender swap Sophie, so I’m not putting much stock in Fran’s partner being “Michaela.” Besides, I suspect Benedict’s season will probably be next followed by Eloise, so who knows how it plays out.
the reason Francesca wants to come out of mourning is because she desires kids of her own, ligetimate at tht, and more than one not coz shes sex crazed. so she'd have to take a husband and also have a lover...? sounds ridiculous. as much as id have loved a gay romance, u simply cant eliminate already loved characters of 20 yrs.
Michalea!?!?! What bullcrap is that??? That has absolutely nothing to do with the story. I get that Bridgerton prides itself on its inclusivity, but there is a limit, and completely destroying one of the siblings' stories is taking it way too far.
I will lose all faith in Bridgerton if they change Michael’s sex to a woman! Diversity gone mad…… stick to the basic theme of the books!!!! Their story was one of my favourite books.
Exactly.. we are definitely getting on screen wedding because Nicola's hair stylist confirmed she was doing her wedding look. Episode 7 Joining of hands - wedding Episode 8 into the light - planning the big reveal to the society (possibly because being blackmailed by Cressida )
@@justjonesy0815 Also rumored wedding night that maybe be another mirror scene. Because when asked in a recent interview about the piece of furniture they broke where the interviewer asked if it was a mirror. They looked at each other then said there may be a mirror in the room (So not the first time, because that would definitely be a major focal in the scene, not just in the room) So maybe it happens in the 2nd mirror scene. That that is when they broke a piece of furniture. I also recall Nicola saying that it was during the most intensive of the sexy scenes they did. I would think their wedding night could be that. Given that it would be them celebrating their married happiness, that they are finally married.
@justjonesy0815 I'm just trying to understand this logic : if Colin needs 2 episodes to get over it and they don't talk together then why would they do reveal at the end of episode 6 not 4 or 5. I just cannot imagine him not being over that crap by the end of episode 7 otherwise where they going to fit wedding and married polin etc.
@gloriathebooklover8693 when you look at photos, it appears as the first time is during the day, when they check out the house, but in the teaser it is nighttime so that's when I think it will be the mirror scene. I am excited to see what piece of furniture they break!
I have nothing against Lgbq community , I don’t mind one of them being turned BI which might be Eloise case , or full on gay side characters but making Michael into a woman is too much of a big change ? I do get representation is important but that big of a change won’t feel the same , it won’t follow the books anymore and it might make people not watch and it might get cancelled and bridgerton such a great series
What the heck? Francesca is gay and Benedict is add bisexual now what the hell!?! Bridgerton has always been one of my favorite series of books and I own them all, but it is hard to believe that Shonda land is going to mess up things like this
I totally agree with you. Seasons 1 and 2 were done so well. Seems Season 3 is off the rails. I think Colin teaching Pen how to get a husband should have been milked a little longer before the carriage scene. The writers just didn't give us enough time to see their romance develop from friends to lovers. They should stop experimenting with Francesca and Benedict characters for click bate. I will stop watching and just read the books again.
It might be a good thing that Colin finds out Pen is Lady Whistledown after they get intimate because no matter how angry he gets, he can't back out of the engagement/marriage. In the Regency era, he has already "ruined" her and must marry her irrespective of his anger. Otherwise, it will be an even bigger scandal. Gosh I love Polin. I think they might be my favorite Bridgerton couple
I have not read the books but I have heard that Franchesca marries John Sterling, I think that was his name and he later dies. If they make her be with a woman, that is not even close to what the books say. I don't think they need to stray away from the books that far just to apease a select few. Btw, I do not believe the being gay was accepted at all in those days and it would make no sense at all to have her be gay and everyone is going to be so happy for them. This just would not have happened. They surely cant deviate that far from the books.
Eloise’s character is fascinating, it’s ironic, it’s feminist, it’s complete and complicated, it’s realistic, and wholesome, it’s very human in the best way possible, she wants love, but never gives up her freedom and her way of seeing life, and she’s matured a lot.
They will make Benedict bi, Eloise bi and Benedict will marry an autistic black lesbian with 1 arm and 4 legs! It's just the trend but I really hope that this will get over soon, they are ruining every movie/tv series with this forced inclusivity 😢
Leak sources: “Trust me bro.” It’s kinda sad how desperate people are trying to change the sexuality of the main characters instead of sticking to the books, why not just introduce new characters if you want representation so bad.
I don't think Colin takes Pen to their new house, but I think the fainting part fairly matches the book. As Pen has become unwell close to the time Eloise has given Pen to confess to Colin and the bounty for unmasking Lady W has been announced, Cressida grabbing that opportunity for the money is overwhelming for her, Colin takes her to the wing of the Bridgerton house that is his current room. Hence the suitcases in the background from travelling. I'm sure by this point, Colin doesn't know Pen's secret. I think its the next day at a church that he follows her to and finds out she's Lady W after the congregation has left. He begs her not to have another column printed.
People fell in love with Shonda's Benedict cause he was very queer coded in season 1 which baited the queer viewers and people who like mlm storylines. The other characters I agree (except Eloise, she's also very different from her book counterpart)
@@alexdelaloire8739 Imo, Benedict can be bi in general, but end up with a woman, Sophie. It's not like queers never settle down or fall in love for the rest of their lives?
Well, I’ve started the audiobook very first one so I’m going to probably spend most of the summer listening to this and comparing it back to the first three seasons and I really don’t like it when leaks get out because then it just spoils it for everybody and even though they say, it’s “” the truth, we won’t know that until it’s presented and uploaded into Netflix is inboxjust saying
7:05, I am praying that this is not true. I was so looking forward to seeing Francesca falling in love with both John and his cousin, Micheal. ugh. Now I am scarred about the direction the series is going cuz so far, they have been doing a pretty good job. Or lets hope that Micheala and Micheal Stirling are separate characters and that Micheal is going to be Francesca's love interest in their season.
I really really don't want them to turn Michael into a she. In that time period, literally none of what happens CAN happen if he is a she. It just changes too much. I'm all for it if it doesn't change the gist of what it needs to be, but that would. He needs to be a man and there are SO many scenes in the book that just would not work otherwise. It's by far the steamiest book and I just don't see how it would be any good if they have to omit or change literally everything about their relationship. And in the early 1800s, a she can't marry a she and the whole point of the books is Violet getting each of her children married with children. It just won't work and after reading the books THIS book is the one I most want to see on tv. It will be so disappointing to change it that much. They also have two children...so they won't exist?
If any of these “leaks” prove to be true, I am done with the series. I already have issues with the changes made in Polin’s story. The writers took a beautiful book and twisted it to cram more story lines into the season. Not happy with that, but I love these two so I had to accept.
It's a bold move changing Francesca's second love interest. I've never read the books, so it really doesn't make a difference to me. I'm down for a bisexual sister in the Bridgerton household (though I'll admit that I only saw it coming with Benedict; season 1 did a good job of subtly planting the seeds). But I have been a lurker in enough book-to-film fandoms to know that people get so attached to their favorite elements from the books, and I have seen a lot of people talking about how Francesca was their favorite character. It's going to be really interesting seeing how this pans out.
It is very bold. I’m all for representation but the idea does seem to strain historical believability. However, they handled Francesca SO well in part 1 that I’m willing to give them all the artistic license and reserve judgment until I actually see it. I’m not queer, happy to be an ally, but I also wouldn’t presume to speak for the community myself, especially absent actually seeing the content in question.
@@ltdowney It will definitely be interesting to see. I'm kind of wondering whether they will actually go with the second match opening presenting as a couple, especially after we saw how Brimsley and his lover had to hide their relationship in Queen Charlotte. I know that in North America, they had something called a Boston Marriage, which was when two unmarried women would move in together after a certain age. And while in some cases, this was just two friends choosing to live together rather than alone, there is evidence to suggest that some of these Boston marriages might have actually been women who were together-together. I wonder if maybe they will shine a spotlight on an English equivalent to that? But I don't know if that would deviate things too much from the original story that book fans will be watching for.
wait to franchesca is going to get married to a woman? that makes no sense for the time period. it should have been one of the featheringtons or a side character. also, so who's going to lead season 4?
Pretty sure it will be Benedict, then Eloise and then Francesca. In the books she is married for 2 years already before getting a new love interest. It would make sense they don't marry because even back then people could be gay. Francesca is a widow by then and doesn't have to marry anymore. So making Michael a woman would work. Michael's sister and his widow being close won't be suspicious at all and no one will nag Francesca to marry again.
Also how could they allow it to be. That Francesca having children wouldn't happen then. Poor book children won't be in existence in the show that is really sad.
@@gloriathebooklover8693 Well, not having children isn't always the end of the world, especially for an quiet-loving introvert like Francisca, but there can still be children born out of her wedding with John. In the books she is married for 2 years with him, so there is plenty of time to get pregnant.
I’ve never seen the show or read the books. But I’m guessing that the books didn’t make the girl uh lesbian? (Maybe bi I haven’t seen it) but what I do know is, I’m pretty sure lgbtq wasn’t really accepted, and honestly I’d rather have historical accuracy than being “inclusive”
What happens to all of Pens money hidden under the floorboards? In the book £10k. That's a lot of money. When she gets married she can finally spend it as no one will suspect where it came from.
I don’t think that Francesca’s story will change much. If there is a Michaela in the show, then it’ll probably be a replacement for John’s mother Janet.
I am trying to remain open-minded here. I have read all of the books. They have changed so much from the books to the TV show. OK I tried to look at them as two separate entities. But if they make Francesca a lesbian and they make Benedict bisexual, I will be finished with this show.
If they ruin Benedict and Sophie I am going to be really upset and that may end my watching of the show. Sophie was my favorite character and I loved her love story with a stubborn Benedict.
I’m really disappointed to hear about these possible changes to characters and the stories. Especially Michael. I don’t see why they can’t just stick to the books. They are amazing…
I know that Julia asked them not to change the cast of the main characters and to keep it as it is. The only thing I know for sure is that they said it wouldn't be in the exact order as it is in the books but I don't think Michael is changing at least I hope not because it would completely change the plot of the story and its one of the best stories in the series. Francesca has fertility issues so that is one of the main focuses. We just have to wait and see what they do.
And they skipped Benedict to make all these unnecessary changes, the craziest being Francesca and Michaela, John’s sister?! I mean talk about taboo… I mean, the order of events in the book is all over the place but makes sense compared to the show. I just want to fast forward to the last episode because so much of what has been leaked is not what I expected or want to see 😭 also, they should do another standalone series with Violet and Edmund’s story since they had such good casting in Queen Charlotte’s story. That would be a welcome change from all of the nonsense… these leaks are most likely happening because of crew who have been fired or are unhappy with all the changes on the production side so I definitely think most of what has surfaced is true, which is sad because this is typical of Netflix
well looks like I won't watch Francesca's season. Makes no sense, the core of the book story is her struggle with infertility, and the guilt for falling in love with her husband's best friend.
It would be the worst thing if Micheal is woman in the series absolutely disappointing if hope its just a rumour because it would have been lovely to see Francesca's love story with both john n Micheal!
As a fan of the fransecca nd michael book...only thing i want to say is am truly disappointed :( Although i do understand..i feel that given how the show doesn't have the luxury to dweel into the characters nd inner monologue it would have been v difficult to show michael nd Frans connection without coming across as a direct betrayal splly when michael had feelings when she was married....maybe it makes it a less of betrayal, atleast visually for ppl to digest if its a qeer couple..idk?! Just sad that we will not get their story on screen..like if u wanted to show diversity nd representation.. Eloise was right thereee!!!!
If they gender swap they are gonna loose viewership and we are gonna be outraged. Everyone loves Michael and in that era how could you be openly gay/lesbian?????
as some one with undignosed enddtriomisis and the negative feelings of doubting i can have babys i was hoping to see that , i honestly think its sophies introdduction or its to keep fans from finding out what really happens
If y’all hate wokeness then Shondaland is not for you. That is so obviously their thing. That being said, making Micheal the female love interest is a horrible idea. I would love a wLw story in Bridgerton, but I’d prefer this happen with another character. I hate queer storylines that involve emotional cheating, betrayal, or incestous undertones (dating best friends, sibling, exes, cousins, etc.) Why is it so cliche. So disappointed if this is true. 😭 Also 3:18 earned a like for this video.
Considering the latest trailer for part 2 I don’t believe Colin goes to a brother straight after their fight. They’re already kissing during that argument scene so it makes zero sense both character wise and from what they showed in the trailer
❤I wonder what happens next in episode 5. Polin comes back from the ball at night. Only the two youngest Bridgerton kids will be home at this time. In the book there is a very hot scene in the salon on the sofa.... I really wish they included this scene here ❤
I bet everything in the leaks is 100% true. Yes, the whole thing is ridiculous, but just because we don't want it to be real, doesn't mean it won't be. i still remember the GOT leaks and how ridiculous that seemed. That show had been just as hyped as this one. And then it all went to hell! They won't give us 8 straight siblings in this day and age. And Colin is already a rake, why not make him go to a brothel? Just go into the next part of the show with low expectations and you won't get disappointed.
People who read these books and love them do not want ridiculous plot twists! These are simply historical romances. If they go down the trans/bi road it just becomes tedious. We are lectured to enough. If I want an LBGTQ plot I would not be watching a historical romance. I would simply watch a modern romance. I just want the fairytale in a historical romance. Beautiful girl meets beautiful boy, they fall in love and live happily ever after. It is a fantasy, duh, not a lecture on inclusivity. Do the writers actually believe that any of these plots even without DEI are plausible?
I will not watch if Michael is a woman! Or if Benedict is bi. That is where I draw the line. I can tolerate John being a black Scottish lord because that is just how Shonda wants it to be for all the Bridgertons. Its that world but it doesnt make sense a lot of the time The books main storyline needs to be followed. I know that this younger generation doesn't care about gender or sexual attraction. Its all the same to them. But the older romance lovers are straight women who want their loves interests to be hot Men and beautiful women.
I'm 72 and I am more than happy to see gay/lesbian couples in a period drama/romance. You only speak for yourself and other bigots. Love happens to people of all orientations. You should watch something else if you don't like this.
Its just rumours i think show runners started so no one would guess what happening for part two im down for new characters being bi and gay or benedict or Eloise and love the diversity i defenitly think there should be more east asian represtention and a irish charcter i just think that Francesca being with a male character is important because in her season its about miscarriage fertilty issues then finally having baby as some who has undiagnosed endriomtisis and worrying about not being to have children this is important to me and i was looking forward to seeing that represented as it is currently not talked about enough and it really lonely . i think it might be sophies introduction .
@sharonzion8557 Well...if I had Colin leaning into me for a passionate kiss, I would probably need a paper bag to prevent myself from hyperventilating! Good point!!
Corsets are hard to breathe in when you’re anxious 😥 😬 . Or particularly unsettled. I have worn some, and if you have them on long enough, it feels like being strangled by thorns
Can't they see the success that they had by sticking to the books(at least for the most parts) with this season. If they do this it would be so so disappointing and horrible . No matter how much i like this show,i will not see it anymore
If Michael is cast as Michaela I will not be happy, this is just so far off the books its ridiculous all the sake of diversity. I feel like Shondaland is showing diversity down our throats and frankly I don't want it. I think i'll just stick to reading the books again - at least those I've enjoyed !!
omg not more woke crap, can anyone just be normal? or do we have to have lecture in every episode? so we are getting a lesbian and a gay relationship in the next season ffs, sorry but after this season of pen and colin I am not bothered about the others ao I see a drop off in viewers
I don’t believe what you say about Frans story, having a family is too important to her. Plus there’s already a gay man in the Bridgerton world, we don’t need more. They can out them and show what would gapped.
I think your predictions are good. Everyone is trying to jump the gun so they can say, "I told you so." However, you are forgetting a couple of things: In the books, Francesca marries LORD Kilmartin, not Lady Kilmartin. They move to Scotland. Your explanation for Francesca's partner being a woman was pretty thin at best. The other thing you are forgetting is that during this time period, same sex unions were forbidden and could mean death by execution. This is why that artist that did Simon and Daphne's portrait had to hide his affair with that Lord. It meant DEATH if they were ever found out. If this goes 'left' like you say, I'm done because that is too far away from the source material. smh. [MAJOR SPOILER ALERT] Some things did have to be changed because in the books, there is another Featherington daughter... Phelicity or something like that? She is not like Prudence or Phillapa. She is nice and she is very pretty. Portia was trying to push Colin toward her because she didn't think he was interest in Penelope. He had to stand up and tell the old bag then he had no interest in Phelicity and that it was Penelope he wanted to marry. Is there any wonder why Penelope was so void of confidence. (smh) [MAJOR SPOILER ALERT] Also, in the books, Whistledown is still going on after Colin and Penelope marry. Cressida finds out the truth and blackmails them. I'm not sure but I think she does take credit for the work to make herself a type of Celebrity. Colin doesn't know what to do, so he asks for Anthony's help. Anthony and Simon devise a plan to announce the real Lady Whistledown to society to thwart Cressida. The book ends with Penelope being pregnant and Colin becoming a writer with Penelope as his editor.
Hi, thanks for your comment! But these are not my predictions. These are some supposed leaks and spoilers I have been seeing on social media. I don't know if they'll end up being true, especially the ones about episode 7 & 8.
@@thenextseason My fault. I thought since you posted it, that you were owning what you posted. My bad. I find that the show only takes tidbits from the actual books. So it will be interesting to see what actually happens.
If they change Michael to be a woman, I am not watching this show anymore! And I am really not against LGBTQ, but Michael is one of my top favourite characters from this book series.
I need everyone to take a deep breath, these "leaks" about Michael are not what I would call reliable at all. The fact, that you heard it from "3 different sources" doesnt make it legit cause 2 of those sources literally go back to the same post on Tumblr. The post was amde before episode 7 and 8 were given out to pre watchers, so I assume we will hear some actual leaks over the next days
I really hope this is true. I hear people saying the leaks are coming from certain people in Netflix offices who already watched the episodes, but that's not realiable either. I agree that we'll hear more probably soon
@@thenextseason just dont make yourself crazy about it, we will find out pretty soon so take it easy and lets also take a second to observe how we talk about this, we got trans people in the fandom aswell and I bet it doesnt feel great reading "this is horrible! I will stop watching if that is the case!" over and over again
Julia Quinn has made it clear in many ways that she has a great working relationship with Shonda Rhimes. I think Shonda runs things by Julia out of respect before they implement any changes to her characters, but its not required. I think Julia loves what Shonda is doing with the characters. The books were written 20 years ago. The plot of the storylines is rather predictable. It is smart to shake things up a little and incorporate modern ideas into the show. This is why the show has been so successful. It appears this season is a transitional season to more interesting seasons.
New Harry Potter Tv show coming out with Harry now being Harriet, Ron is now Rhonda and is in a relationship Harriet, Hermonie is will be transitioning into Hermon in book 3, Draco starts dating Snape in book 4 and Dumbledore get impregnated by "He who Shall Not Be name" and Haggard is a Dragon. Coming out soon by Woke Hollywood and will not be partnering with J.K Rowling due to her stance on the Trans-Community but studio promises it will be just as good as the book if not better.
My thoughts. They won’t reveal Michael to be gender swapped and then have his/her 2 seasons later. It just doesn’t make sense. I know Bridgerton likes to keep people on their toes when it comes to the casting. Maybe Michaela is Michael’s sister who will happen to be a friend to Francesca. It’s possible we get Michael and Michaela
Its just rumours i think show runners started so no one would guess what happening for part two im down for new charcters being bi and gay or benedict or eliose i just think that francecsa being with a male charcter is important because in her season its about miscarriage fertilty issues then finally having baby as some who has undiganosed endriomtisis and worrying about not being to have children this is important to me and i was looking forward to seeing that represented as it is currently not talked about enough and it really lonely .
