Finally! Thank you. I was just on the trailer and the comments there were disgusting. So disheartening that in 2020 the ugly underbelly of systematic racism is still out on parade. So thank you and I couldn't agree more with your comment.
Not necessarily black people. It's the chemistry I think that says it all. If you can find people with amazing chemistry, they can lift the whole series. Take greats like Fraiser, Cheers, Sex in the City, Greys Anatomy in the early days, Scandal, just to name a few. I believe the chemistry between the actors created their success.
@@hellovanite agree! And to be honest 90% of the black people in the show are biracial. They have a right to play these types of historical roles if they want. It's part of their heritage too
I binged watched the series twice. Oh my goodness the heat between Daphne and Simon is electrifying. I found myself blushing as I watch. I have such an amazing crush on Simon, his smile, the way he walks and speaks so eloquently just turns me on. I cannot remember being this intrigued with a man well ever. He has a certain Je ne sais quoi.
Thank you for saying. I noticed she blushed a lot in some of this scenes. And in their joint interviews, she draws within herself, to conceal the attraction. I don’t elieve either one of them will reveal their feelings though. They’re going to suppress it. I love them.
I binged watched in one day.... Rege is sooo dreamy. Loved how the story and season progressed quickly and the finale didn't leave us on a cliffhanger. Can't wait for season 2, I kinda hope the story stays on Daphne and Simon
Not at all if they follow the books. Especially since the author who is heavily involved would want that, and we the book fans would love that, and I'm sure the producers will be aware of that.
Also,if you read the books you'll discover why the book fanclub love Kate, Anthony's wife a lot. One the top three most loved heroines of the book series. And why Anthony's book, book 2 is even more liked than Daphnes'
@@sandraroland9007 I agree but most people especially the general Netflix audience focus mainly on looks - and given Simon especially popularity level, I won’t be surprised if they tweak the show a bit to allow the daphne and Simon storyline to still play out Netflix is big in playing with fan favour
@@rimakent1852 and the fans who made this really happen are the book fans. We also outweigh the "just getting to know Brigdeton through Netflix fans". And it's each siblings story that is being heavily asked for....
This is the best series I’ve watched all year... honestly. All of the main characters were attractive and vibrant. The storyline was very unique and exciting. The creativity in the show had me on edge 😍🥵. I LOVED the diversity in this series and the interracial relationships. This was a very modern series based on the 1800’s, which is exactly what we needed in 2020. The vibrance in the show was basically of the this world... so many colors and beautiful pieces. And lastly I want to shine light on the MUSIC 😩🤩 oh my goodness....the orchestra playing covers of newer songs making them blend into the show. The soundtrack was beautiful. Very well done ♥️🍾
here's me obsessed with this series. i just *I CANNOOOTTT* been watching it for straight three days now. and not close to stopping. this series is by far my favorite this year. can't wait to share this for years to come. i love everything about it, the cast, the production, the musicss. arghhh don't even get me started. 😍 kudos to every one ♥
Officially obsessed with this amazing show... & LOVE that they actually communicate their feelings... even if we do have to wait until the final episode 😂.
I love Phoebe and Rege! The chemistry between them- on screen and in interviews - is incredible. I have a feeling that they have a crush on each other...
@@en6278 I know that. But again thank you for that important piece of information :) I am just happy that he acknowledges his Zimbabwean roots that's all.
@@rachaelmufaro5883 well he grew up there part of his life so its no doubt left an impression on him. People who have the best of two worlds growing up are very blessed it makes them more educated culturally and more globally minded.
When Regé and Johnny talk about the pressure to be fit, that clearly shows that men's bodies are criticized too, sometimes even more than women's. It's quite sad. For example, have you ever seen a model without abs/with a "dad body"?? 🥺🥺
@@hikarihime91 the books are best sellers here. But u can see anything that is big, is bigger in Brazil. People here are very passionate about anything. When we like something, we LIKE! ☺
I am not brazilian, but the enthusiasm of brazilians in fandoms is something I live for! I remember when they cancelled Anne with an E, and everybody was tweeting like crazy to renew it, and someone was like "oh, here come the brazilians, we're gonna get our new season". I love it! 😂
Okay so I was having a hard time trying to imagine what Percy would look like in the book The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue but now I can imagine. Rege is Percy! And I need a movie adaptation this instant!
@@princessprecious4591 Really? Cuz I read that they had to postpone filming until March 2021 and they filmed the first season for months and months so I doubt that it'll be ready for next year :(
