A dear friend who had several T500 Suzukis often waxes lyrical about the Bridgestone 350 and their apparent unmatched performance in their class. Certainly the relative engineering complexity of the disc valve system plus mechanical lubrication made these bikes highly advanced for their time. I’ve never ridden a bike with disc intake but I’m told the power delivery is very smooth, without any hesitation and more like direct injection that we see on just about every new motorcycle on the market. Apparently the fuel economy was great too? Is it true that one reason Bridgestone stopped building motorcycles was that the other Japanese manufacturers threatened to stop buying Bridgestone tyres if Bridgestone kept building motorcycles? At only 9000 units produced and a price related slow sales volumes I find that a fanciful story. Thanks for posting.
What a great looking bike. 6,000 revs, my Kawasaki triples 6,000 revs was the start of psyco zone of performance. Such an amazing bike, just so pretty.
I saw a couple of these in a showroom window in Liverpool when I was a boy. I remember vividly thinking g how superb they looked then. Look even better now!
I had 175 Hurricane scrambler, and a 175 dual twin, a left sidelever connected inside gearbox to give you a choice of a standard 5 speed or a 4.speed rotary
I had both a Bridgestone175 Hurricane scrambler and a 175 dual twin, lovely state of the art bikes with disc valves and a choice of 4 speed rotary or 5 speed return gearbox!

I had one in 68/69, I was thirteen to 14 years old , lucky i didn't kill myself , when i first checked it out to buy it i did a wheelie half way down the block and almost lost it , got it under control and bought it on the spot for 200 bucks... later that year i was racing a car and laid it down at over 80 , thought i was really gonna die then , ( iIwas looking back at the car and turned around to see a dead end with a ditch and trees about 100 ft in front of me ,,, :( I survived ), laid it down with the only damage to me being a skint butt, asphalt road ate right through my jeans... never tried that again.......
