During Indigenous History Month, we celebrate a remarkable cultural exchange and reconciliation journey between the Ottawa Catholic School Board and Deh Gáh School in Fort Providence, Northwest Territories. In February, students from Notre Dame and Sacred Heart High School visited Fort Providence, where they immersed themselves in the Dene community's traditions. Three months later, Deh Gáh students visited Ottawa to learn about our local history and culture. This transformative experience fostered understanding, unity, and lasting friendships between the two communities. We are proud of the OCSB students for embracing this journey and building bridges of respect and understanding.
