Somebody should really put Brie Larson and Jennifer Lawrence in the same room sometime. I feel like their inner awkwardness would really match, and can SO imagine them being friends.
Hero of Mind Is that your fantasy? JL awkwardness is a known quantity, let's not cast that onto Brie. They are not the same person and JL would never be able to play Captain Marvel as Brie did.
《LadyCrystal》 you cant be sexist and a feminist at the same time. if you think you can, it means you don’t understand the meaning of either or both the terms.
@@ikz8439 These days, yes you can. Most feminists I know are awful and they hate all men. So technically they aren't feminists, but they call themselves that.
@@fransesco97 Chris Hemsworth also LiEd about doing his own stunts but you guys don't complain about him. Wonder why??? Also nothing was wrong with her. You White men are just so sensitive....
idk about other people but I only hate mcu captain marvel, but it’s probably because of her social awkwardness in combination with her feminism and extreme opinions!
Maybe they hate her, and made her socially awkward. ... On the second thought, when she was around her friends, she acted normal. She probably is just a shy girl, which result in her being insecure. Someone should tell her that she is hot, and is loved.
As an introvert it take a while to get to know someone and the marvel cast have all spent a lot of time together, she was the newest so it’s was probably hard for her to come into that dynamic with her personality type.
@@eternalnate that wasnt the point ... I'll explain it though. It means when you become close enough to someone famous that you can call them by their shortened name instead of Mr. Jackson. Hope this easy enough to understand considering English may actually be your primary language.
Monkey Wrenching not sure why you chose my particular comment to say that. I meant my comment as a compliment and she seems fun to me. Take your negativity elsewhere, please and thank you.
I Love Brie Larson. Call her what you want, Shes a strong and confident human being. It takes strength to be hated and still be confident. Her strength comes from a deeper place. Shes awesome.
People that hate are not good people. Women do not owe the world anything, she doesn't have to fit the very narrow image of what people think a woman should be.
Do people really realise how well she's handling this mega fame especially being a introvert she is ??? Despite hating on her respect her talents and humanity
@@hellogoodbye4061 She doesn't hate white men . And also everyone one makes mistakes so they should forgive her and give her a chance . The haters are really ignorant people.
Gabriel Retana Maybe cuz her sarcasm doesn’t come off as light hearted and funny, especially since she’s doing press with the rest of the cast who are light hearted and funny. She already has a feminazi reputation to some people so maybe she’s just putting up a front cuz she seems like a chill person.
@@campelodemagalhaes So in Portugal having great posture is a bad thing? If that's true then that doesn't say anything good about Portugal in my opinion. IF that's even true.
She is socially awkward, but she is very hardworking and professional, her work says it all, whenever she says mean about some one she is actually not implied or mean that just as the close friends do.
Suzy S she’s good as an actor I give her that but she’s kinda a lier because she said she had two stunt double and then she said she did her own stunts
@@darthderp8066 just to clarify, Brie's no stunt double thing was sarcasm. It got super awkward because it sounded a little ambiguous and Hemsworth next to her didn't get it at all and made it more awkward. Misunderstandings happen.
Brie is awesome and not hating her is a sign of good mental health. Try and have a conversation with anyone commenting they hate her and you will find them pretty irrational.
I think 10k people just didn't like her talking about being 2 faced with people that she doesn't like. Also she's obviously intoxicated in this interview.
1 minute in Me: she has such a straight back wth I’m jealous (Holy hell 1.8k likes?! And I only get notified 7 months later?! RU-vid’s high! Lol thanks so much)
it's because her subconscious insecurities are manifesting themselves through over-compensated attempts at displaying confidence and poise; despite her looming self-awareness of being exactly the opposite. Marvel deserves credit though; another excellent choice for the role. *A vapid & shallow character played by an equally vapid & shallow actor.*
@@illusory5027 I think a square head is actually pretty cute especially jawline while many people love to have a v-shape face, I’d prefer a square face😹😹
@@brianlittrell797 Samuel L. Jackson is not a 40 year old white man I suppose. Larson loves giving the illusion that she loves diversity and treating Jackson as a human being gives her the giddies.
Am I the only guy who likes her as Captain Marvel? She shows no emotion? That's because her character is more serious. I think most guys hate her because they think she, her character, and her movie all represent girl power. Even though I never got that thought.
I think most people hate her because she is so full of herself. Watch the other interviews with the Avengers cast. They do not want to go near her. That's because she thinks she rules the marvel universe even though she was only in it for a year or more, and she claims she does her own stunts, thinking that she's Tom Cruise.
@@endz_3761 I loved her in Scott Pilgrim, but did not know it was her until like last week. I had never heard of her at the time. And she was like 19? Her character was amazing (ok all the characters were).
People are never satisfied, Jennifer Lawrence is trying too hard to be normal, Brie Larson is too stiff/boring/perfect same for anne Hathaway, interviews must be hell for celebrity 😂😂😂 people ”know” you after 3 minutes
@Raquel Martinez yea gotta say i know how introverts act and for the most past the movie industry is a death sentence for people like that. On another note she legit discredited the opions of half of the mcu fan base and they got upset about it and have been labled as trolls and sexist men. Also to empower doesnt mean to discriminate if she wants to truly empower women she shouldnt openly discriminate white men. Also as far as im concerned shes biased and uneducated in what true empowerment for women is.
@Raquel Martinez also no one gave captain marvel bad reviews what happened was the people who rated to watch it went down because of her disregard for the fanbase and because of the impact its now been removed and people have lost the choice to voice and opinion on whether they wanna watch a movie or not and has been replacrd by biased payed movie critics
@Raquel Martinez also captain marvel may be the first mcu female lead, but by no means is it the first female lead movie that kicked ass. It is thought the first female lead movie that has openly discriminated against its fan base and blatantly and opressively forced on feminist ideology at the expense of men and fans alike including women.
Perhaps she is misunderstood, sarcastic and blunt, yet here she is charming, likable and just down to earth. I guess her feminist advocacy was just taken the wrong way. Hope to see her more as Capt. Marvel.
@@hellogoodbye4061 Sweetie.. What she said was “I don’t want to hear what a white man has to say about ‘A Wrinkle in Time.’ I want to hear what a woman of color, a biracial woman has to say about the film. I want to hear what teenagers think about the film.” And if you just took the time to read the whole interview and not listen to noisy people on the internet, you would actually realise that she makes sense.
@@daywalker3735 Hey, just goggled the definition of feminism and this is what popped up. Thanks for requesting, our readers will benefit. fem·i·nism /ˈfeməˌnizəm/ noun A conflict theory that regards men as oppressors and women as the oppressed, and masculinity as toxic. Synonym: Misandry, feminazism, cancer.
Skylar Kim exactly! She also just has a really dominant and expressive way of speaking. She doesn’t back down from what she’s saying or let people interrupt her which is refreshing
Often the case on talk shows like this. Good hosts are very good at getting people to feel relaxed and getting them to open up. They're also very good at guiding conversation and helping it along. (Also I'm pretty sure they plan out what they are going to talk about to some extent beforehand)
She did a lot of stuff with whatever channel that was, she must have been pretty tired, because there are several videos with her in the same outfit with the same costars, so I guess that at the WIRED interview she wasn't in the mood to be lively and humorous. I mean, If I had done like six videos for RU-vid in a day, I would be, too.
Julian Arikape I like her too! 🙋♂️ I don’t know why people hate her? I’m still trying to find out why, I haven’t seen the video people keep on talking about. So I’m clueless as to why so much hate when she looks like an amazing person. 🤷♂️
@@danieljuarez1902 - There's tons of videos hating on Brie. But most if not all of those videos are from basement-dwelling losers still living at home with mommy and daddy. Brie was and is a perfect Captain Marvel.
@@tropicalterrarium1742 Or the very unpleasant, abrasive, overly sensitive personality. SO many better Avengers and indeed superhero actors. Scarlett, Elizabeth, Zoe, RDJ, Chris Pratt, Hemsworth, Evans, Holland.
People don’t like her because they aren’t confident in themselves. Anyone who is truly confident in themselves, doesn’t need to try to tear another person down, to feel better about themselves. They realize that what they say can negatively or positively impact people, and only criticize when absolutely necessary. Not because they don’t like someone else’s personality. They accept that they shouldn’t try to change people, but accept them as they are

@skriller bee don't know much about Brie Larson yet, but she does seem a little conceited and stuck on herself, but I'ma wait a while before I officially pass judgement. But this interview so far has 36K likes vs. 11K dislikes. It does make you wonder why there aren't any negative comments yet.
does brie have a dancing background or some kind of performing background??? because her posture is VERY straight and I don't think they really focus on that in acting school.. also lots of my friends who dance (specifically ballet) have really good posture
she was a teenybopper recording artist a few years back . she's got a decent set of pipes and you can see her perform in the scott pilgrim vs the world flick
Melanie Bon because she’s confident? And she’s ready to be the head of the new phase? She’s just excited, proud, and ready for this. She may come off as cocky or arrogant but she’s just ready for this
Magic Ocean I just think she had come across as arrogant and ungrateful to the OGs... The OGs made Marvel the behemoth of movie franchises that it is today... Not her intro movie that people watched only because of its connection to Endgame
My personality is exactly the same 😂 Now I know how people percieve me MOST LIKELY just from the petty hate brie receives I'm assuming she's an introvert? Thank God I'm not a celebrity
Yeah, you're right. Brie said on multiple occasions that she's an introvert (with asthma). I totally can relate. I could do part of her job. Being on a talkshow talking about stuff could be something I could do when I am prepared. But smalltalk and stuff would be a lot harder to impossible. Brie is so brave and often you do not get the impression that she is different than the mayority of actors.
Came here just for the comments.....very disappointed. Made popcorn and everything..... Review: first hour of upload was pretty boring, stay through the second and third acts and the comments get better.
@@studmalexy Well, I'd say Doctor Who is a cheap Sci-Fi Series, usually. Then again, I kept expecting the 12th Doctor to pop up somewhere in Captain Marvel. 🤷
So many triggered trolls! Loved her confidence, sense of humor and down to earth personality! You can tell by the comments how many men feel attacked by that, and sadly some women too.
@@infiniteyeet9235 I think your definition of criticism is different than mine. Most, if not all, of her "criticism" is about her personality, almost none about her work, so yes, you are one of the trolls triggered by a strong woman who is so confident in herself that it hurts.
