Hate Captain Marvel or not, Room is a fantastic movie and she delivered a masterclass act. Well deserved.

The only actual reason why people hated Brie is because the internet told them to do so. Jumping on the bandwagon at it's finest.

imagine being judged for a dry sense of humor and a few sarcastic comments here and there... I would probably be sent straight to hell then.... we all often forget that celebrities are human beings with parents, sisters and friends and bad past experiences and bad moods, only difference is they just have cameras on them 24/7.

Brie Larson is unequivocally one of the finest actresses of her generation, this woman's range is just inexplicable, from sassy, sardonic, pompous characters in Scott Pilgrim vs The World and United States of Tara to tender, fragile and yet steely characters in Short Term 12, Room, The Glass Castle and Just Mercy to the iconic Carol Danvers in Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame, this woman can do no wrong. Simply one of the best, i hope she gets more Oscar nominations, coz she's the last person you would think will forver be one time winner and nominee

The music choice for Larson could give the wrong idea for those who haven't seen the film, it makes it look soooo cute

I think the scene when the police finally saves her and they hug by the police car is the closest to an extra-corporeal experience a movie has ever given me. It made me feel not only what, but how they were feeling. The fact that she not only hugged but acknowledged her co-star and friend in such cute way shows how humble she is, and shows that she knows that this experience is as life-changing for her as it is for him. I respect her a lot. A LOT.

One of the best Oscar speeches I've watched. Clean, no drama, no ego, all gratitude.

She deserved this. Room was a great movie and her performance moved me to tears.

I think this is the perfect speech because she's not pretending to hold back crying during the speech or acting like it wasn't expected (the winner usually has won every award that season leading up to the Oscars). She also thanked film festivals and the distributor and moviegoers rather than just a handful of people who helped her personally. And gave the director credit for contributing to her performance.

Just finished watching Room and found out that she won Best Actress for her role...well deserved. She was so moving and so earnest as Joy Newsome that it transcended acting to the point that Joy started looking like a real person that was sharing her story. Astounding actress and a stupendous movie, no wonder why I cried so much!

Who knew that within a few years both Cate Blanchett and Brie Larson would be in Marvel as Hela and Captain Marvel?

If there's anything I know for sure, then it's the fact that a lot of people have problems getting their ideas across, which can lead to a lot of misunderstanding. Also, as audience, we dont know anything about her for real, the news can be subjective and biased too, so stop judging her. Leave her alone

Gosh that ending scene when she said silently "Bye room!" was a hit right on the nail head!!!!! I just saw the film on Pop Corn platform because of a Facebook video recommendation and I didnt expect Captain Marvel to deliver like she did!!!!!! She left me speechless and made me cry!!!!!!

Brie Larson has been a dark horse in Hollywood she has been around the business for a while but didn't got recognised any time despite being very talented but then things started to change after short term 12 a film which was her real breakthrough and should have brought her an Oscar nomination and all the buzz and recognition room brought but her bad luck which was following her for year prevailed her but then came a film which was so intensely powerful that it shook everyone and of course the film was room and the real strength was the intensely powerful , brilliant and complex performance by Larson every inch of her performance is so brilliant that it is almost unbelievable to know that she is only 26 and about 24-25 when she made it. This work of her along with short term12 has for sure has made her the most talented young actresses America a title she slyly pulled away from Jennifer Lawrence. But whatever so this actress is really brilliant in her craft and deserves every applause

Happy to see Joy being nominated for Oscars. Jennifer's acting in the movie was special probably more intense than what she did in Silver Linings Playbook. Unfortunately the movie suffered a bit due to inulgence from the director Russell.
