Saturday August 16 2014 at 7.08. The 18.36 Cleethorpes to Sheffield (20.37) train about to pull into Brigg Station. Its best not to miss this train as its a very long wait for the next train - a whole week in fact. Just 1 person uses the station per day on average. 2 years ago Network Rail announced that lifting barriers were going to be installed here in June 2013 at a cost of £900,000. Perhaps the operator is trying to get the change done by smashing the gates when opening them. There is an audible alarm here when the gates are closing although you only hear a burst of it at the end. The diagonal gates nearly hit during opening. The pedestrian gates open & shut independently.
