5 HP carburetor upgraded with rep set. Back handle choke. Filming through the procedure... and showing of my very good Gilson roto tiller..forward and reverse function. Old but good. Those american tillers :-)
Hey ! Thx. It is not necessarly economic much...but it is the feeling of beeing able to master those things...and also the stubburn will...to make the old one work. And the joy of coming to a lucky end result. Self made is well made he he. Something like that.... is what i ofthen think. I know...those carburetors are available in after marked affordable price. Hello thank you for the help, I managed to disassemble the carburetor, to clean it completely, the gasoline inlet and outlet that go into the tank were blocked, I put everything back together managed to make it run but still a problem with the operation front is blocked and it rushes like a sherman tank. I managed to save my mother's garden, we worked 3 hours in a row at an incredible speed. I will see what can block in the forward direction and I will perhaps come back to you for more info. The screw on the right below the carburetor is really bitchy it's exact difficult to access. thank you again and be careful for you and your families good luck
Hey ! Well done. Hmm if you have changed the gasoline pump membran and gaskets and needle and done the cleaning...and you did not score home...or have totall succsess...I recommend you to search for a brand new carburetor on f.ecs. www.ebay.com. Probaly you can get one at afordable price... But buy the right one ! You might have the old type with choke on the back as in video of mine. The others...do not fit to your gasoline tank.

Hey ! Thx ! But for you question i cannot answer .. Not sure what you ask about. Remember...there is available carburetors on e-bay f.ecs. Rebuilding...is for enhusiasts and a little weird peoples that love to fix the stuff...i think he he he. Much easier to buy one...if possible. I think.

Hello, it is extremely interesting but not easy, I have an Ariens 1969 motre BS 4HP model 00292 0154-02 6901157 with the same rifle that you are a gift from mother and has not turned for 10 years. turn it over but I think there is no gasoline reaching the spark plug can you help me or we can find a new seal for the carburetor thank you for answering me and take care of yourself and from your family with coronavirus thank you sorry my english is not perfect
Yes...try give it a "drink/ a shot" straight into the hole for spark plug. Check of course if it gives spark first. If not replace the coil with electronic coil and forget the kondensator or pin... So if having spark...and you drop a tiny gasoline in the hole..quickly mount the spark plug and see if it gives response. Than u know...carburetor need new rubber gasolin pump..rep set..from e-bay f.ecs. Or you buy a new carburetor... Do different clean up work on the carb you have. Remember the two screw for carburetor...the lowest one... is a pain ..or difficult to get hold on..accsess too. Other than that...it is not difficult... Do not have too much respect for how difficult this is. Just do it and you will sure have succsess ! :-)
