I got this lens since it came out. On a "full frame" camera, the edges are REALLY soft. It's sharp in the center. Stopping down does not solve the corner sharpness issues. In other words, not a landscape or architecture lens but suitable for people, street etc.

7:24 Whoah! I was set on the 106g VM28mmF2.8II for adapting across systems, but this lens is very tempting and half the price.

Very interesting lens, though the 56mm equiv on Micro Four Thirds doesn't work well with my shooting style. This is probably like my Mitakon Zyonghi Speedmaster 25mm f/0.95, which is beautifully built, sharp in the center but super soft in the corners, yet has this pleasing rendering that I just can't get with my quality lens like the PanaLeica 25mm f/1.4.

Rob you might want to give that lens a go in crop mode with the Sony A7RV because in crop mode its a 42mm so now your a little closer to the 50mm that you like.

very neat lens to use across multiple systems, though for MFT specifically I think the 20mm f/1.7 is worth considering as an alternative

I wish there were more pancake options for m4/3. I'm looking at the 14mm f2.5 and 15mm f1.7.

nice! but Rob, OT, why you and lots of people love putting the half leather case on the Pen-F? I think the Pen-F is more beautiful as it is, IMHO.

I kinda go back and forth on the leather and I also have a wooden grip. The leather feels better in the hand and the wood grip has a full plate on the bottom with Arca Swiss. I use the PenF naked sometimes. But I like to use a tripod most of the time so prefer the wood grip.
