thanks for the great tutorial on DXO Photolab and Nik Collection, Rob. I've been using Lightroom classic myself, but a few weeks ago I bought ON1 Photo Raw, Luminar Neo and all the DXO software (including Photolab 7). I won't be using Lightroom any more, but Photolab instead. Your very good, precise and well-illustrated tutorials help me with this. Thank you for that! Best regards, Chris 😇
Can someone please explain or provide a video link to explain the backup track or internal recording works? I need to access the backup track but I have no idea how to. Thanks!
To improve my success with birds behind branches I sometimes use the multi-selector button (home) to give a single focus point which I place on the bird. This gives the auto focus a better chance. Hope this helps a bit. Thanks for the stream.
Hi Rob, here's my question that you wanted to check out. I cannot get Starry Sky Autofocus as a choice in my SCP on my OM 1 Mark 2. I have no idea why it is not available. I hope you can help me.
Hi Marsha, I'm sorry I couldn't answer during the stream. Make sure subject detection is turned off and your shutter mode is not in pro capture. Let me know if that worked. -Rob
These are very different flashes. The tt350 is compact on-camera flash, perfect for the em10iii. It can also be used off-camera with wireless trigger like the Godox X3. The Lux Master is an off-camera flash only that can be mounted via the flash bracket. You'll need the X3 trigger to use it. Both flashes are ttl compatible. Just be sure to get the Olympus/Panasonic version tt350 and x3.
Hi Rob, great video! Wondering if you've had a chance to use the X1 trigger to fire it? I've got the x2t triggers, but the product information seems to imply it can only be triggered by the new x3. As for people wanting to get their photo taken with the flash, I experienced a similar thing when using the lux senior and using a wired hot shoe cable, so definitely enjoy how people embrace the retro aesthetic and get excited by it!
Would you please do a new video on the settings needed and where to find them in the menu for shooting fireworks please I would be hugely grateful your videos are wonderful and very informative and I’m just struggling even though it’s supposed to be so easy
Hi. Settings are easy. Set your camera to Manual mode, shutter speed 3.2 sec, apeture f/11, and iso 80 or iso LOW. sir, I love doing Macro photography and landscape photography do you suggest me to huy EM5 Mark 3 or Canon R10 where both are in budget cameras..on over all please suggest me a best camera to buy in 2024
I'm biased, but would recommend the E-M5 Mark 3 with Olympus 60mm Macro lens. The Canon R10 + RF 100 f/2.8 Macro lens is also a great combo but will cost quite a bit more. Both will give you great results.
@@RobTrek Thank you sir . I am ordering EM5 mark 3 body separately and then macro lens seperately ..With body we get all the other accessories except lens right like battery charger etc ? Can godox flashes be mounted on EM5 mark 3? please confirm
@@macro_by_nawaz I'm not sure if chargers are included anymore, but you'll at least get a cable to charge in-camera via USB. Godox flashes will work. Just be sure to get the Olympus/Panasonic version for full compatibility.
Hello Rob could you please help, I have been setting up my new OM-1 following your video which is fine and working well, I prefer to have the focus beep enabled which I have done in the menu but still cant hear it can you advise. Thank you.
Go into Camera Menu 1 --> 7.Drive Mode --> Silent Settings --> Beep icon --> Allow. Go into Wrench Menu --> 3.Monitor/Sound/Connection --> Beep Icon --> On. Let me know if that works. -Rob
@@RobTrek Thank you Rob I followed your instructions still no noise, the beep icon is on allow and the silent settings icon are on allow, the whole camera seems to be silent Rob.
This was my favorite spot (old town still is), but it's turned hectic over the years. So much PG County put signs up for youth cerfew there. Old town is still good. It has expanded its shoreline quite a bit. Anywho, if you're an introvert, i could see why you hate that place, but it not, cant answer that, lol. Im introverted so crowded places isnt my thing.
I really do not understand how Olympus could mess up custom modes like that when they got it right in the EM1 Series… The best would be press a button and use a wheel to scroll through C1-9 and you name them in order to find them 😊
This kind of makes me want to trade in my 45 for this lens even at sacrificing auto focus. The only issue I have is, is that a plastic connection? If so, " [fart noise]. Though you did day all metal build. I've been getting into manual with my 6 and 18mm laowa's. In the right conditions ( not nature) they are enjoyable to use. This would fit the category. It's cheap enough that I guess I could start a manual collection and keep the 45mm lol. Thinking out loud
DxO needs to add keyboard shortcuts to Photolab’s sliders/tools. I use a Tourbox and its pretty much useless with Photolab due to its lack of keyboard shortcuts.
Make sure you have the batteries in the right +/- orientation. Once inserted, try rotating the batteries in-place. Use sandpaper to rough up the surfaces of the contacts.
