Over 20 years ago I was on the ground floor getting signatures for this to be a plan. Now it’s up and at em and they wouldn’t even know the work I put in on this project
@@zandresteven7983 Be mad your local/state government for not providing easy access low cost mass transit in the form of a Brightline service. For now I guess "the poor" will have to stick to Greyhound and or Amtrak for their Orlando to Miami needs.
At least 88 deaths have now been connected to Brightline, Florida's privately owned passenger railroad, since it began operations in July 2017, running from West Palm Beach to Miami.
It wasn't July 2017 it was January 2018 when they started operations. You look at the raw deaths and go "train bad," but what you fail to account for is the fact that between Miami and WPB, there are *174* level crossings alone on that 67-mile stretch. That's almost 2.6 level crossings per mile on average and that was all built by the FEC back in the late 1800s. You want them to prevent deaths? They've been doing upgrades to level crossings but even that isn't enough because drivers down there are absolute dopes.
MYbe if Americans knew how to drive there wouldn't be fatalities or accidents..... trains literally are on a track and nowhere else so getting hit by one needs a special kind of stupid
i have a family of 4. over 500 bucks to take me to Orlando and back. Or $60 in fuel for my car. for 500 bucks I can even change 2 tires and do an oil change. This is not even an alternative. I can fly for the same Price.
Also there is no way you're doing round trip for only $60 gas, not to mention the depreciation and maintenance from the miles you're putting on your car
