Ryan Adsett and Owen BHAFC talk with Brighton fans about the incredible comeback, Mitoma x Welbeck xGeorginio x Minteh, and Fabian Hürzeler's tactics...
It wasn't all doom and gloom in the 1st half, Mitoma cross to Welbeck twice just wide would've atleast scored one. Welbeck was upset about it during the interview.
Disagree that the first half was relegation performance. Plenty of good bits in there but live by the high line die by the high line. It's high risk football and it just went the other way then in the 2nd half it was spurs turn to be on the bad side of a similar style. A lot of credit goes to players like steele who get stick from fickle fans and no praise or recognition when doing well - shows how important players like that are as welbeck gave credit to his words at half time. That showed in the performance and to pick one moment out - the desire shown by Rutter getting that cross in. This style will conceed but it will score goals, it's far better than the survival style we rightly had to endure under hughton. The defence can of course improve but (a thankfully) small but noisy section of fans giving abuse to Webster is disgusting to see.. We've suffered with injuries and new players finding their feet but we're sitting in 6th. Trust the process 🤷♂️ hopefully it leads to that magic balance fabian is obviously looking to achieve.
Absolutely mate. Dont believe what I hear sometimes! Relegation performance?! Rubbish! They got behind us wide by just lobbing long balls over and running on. Their second was a dreadful keeper error against the run of play. The comeback started well e half time.. Welbeck had 2 good chances later in 1st half.
@simonlewis8507 Yep just didn't finish our dinner in the first. It's funny, when it goes right certain fans bang on about this attacking style being our "dna" and say fabian is the second coming then as soon as the risk part of "risk and reward" shows up that all goes out the window and they want wholesale change. It's just going to take time to improve this way of playing that fabian is trying but at the same time sometimes it's just football.
So much negative slander about tactics and things not working. We have a new manager, new players and we have lost one, yes one, from nine games! What are people going on about! Relegation form? We did create chances in the first half. Yes Spurs could have been out of sight and yes we didn’t seem to learn much from Chelsea but we won the game, were outstanding in the second half and it is the manager - who is getting is this flack about high lines etc - who sent the players out there in the second half! Whoever delivered the team talk, Hurzeler made the changes. Come on guys, get a hold of yourselves! What do you really want or expect from this team with so many new players and a new manager?
@@TalkSeagulls I agree with everything you say about the club but my point was centred around Hurzeler. Young manager, new ideas and in lots of places he is being slated.
conference haha your havin a giggle aint you? mind u will be fitting if/when we do qualify for the conference league, but then again your forgetting how young he is and has time to develop this season
