Why would that be an issue? People who cant understand him now dont need to understand him in-game, rendering the announcer useless to them anyway. But the biggest part of the community does understand English, at least some.
Thanks for letting me know about Dub only, I think that is sort of ideal then, most people who play a lot already know what the announcer will say(why a lot of people change announcer language for the freshness of it. I think he is iconic enough among the community as everyone only hears his voice to do well. It doesn't need to be clear it just needs to say HEY LOOK AT THE MAP TO SEE WHAT I'M SAYING, or have some sort of in game Dub.
alboforlife18 I still play her, but I always hated how easy she was, that you basically don’t have to do anything skillful to put up massive numbers. It’s great if you’re bored, but doesn’t help with trying to improve skillwise. This - I love!
the dodge/stasis is nice and fits the wc3 Faerie dragon theme well. the short range of her heal put her in harms way, and the heal wasnt very good anymore, ofc having the huge aoe heal like she had in alpha/beta was broken and not interactive, her Q was slow and low impact, and polymorph is ofc very very good. the update sounds good cant wait to see her new talents.
i approve of these changes, unlike garden of terror which feels like its lost its identity, and is now little more than a poormans version of alterac pass
GhostSamurai basically what it is in this if memory serves correctly. Just an ability that made fairy dragon units phase out for like a second so they could avoid damage. I think it had an autocast feature that could automatically activate it when they took damage to prevent further damage. They also had a mana flare ability that could be channeled to punish enemy spellcasters that would zap them for damage based on the amount of mana they used when casting. Would also be kinda neat to see in HotS but would be hard to balance and make fun. Kinda funny how OG brightwing basically had no abilities from the original unit.
It would be cool to also have the teleport like she has it on dota, launch the ball and then teleport, so you could teleport where you want aggresively if you want.
Very nice! I love playing her. The new active on her Soothing Mist looks super cool. Can't wait to frustrate all the enemies who try to lock down my friends. Brightwing happy now!
YES! Brightwing was the second hero I got to level 10 back in the days (the first one being Tyrande) but I really haven't enjoyed playing Brightwing the past year. This will definitely make me pick her up again.
Ree they removed a bad map from the game and added in a decent one to replace it. Now anything they do after that will automatically be devalued by the fact that I don't like them removing Garden of Terror.
much much better, good job on this one even managed to expand on the faerie dragon concept and lore with things like phasing out instead of an iceblock.
I like the idea of percentage-based healing, but I feel like a larger percent of MISSING health would feel better. Coming in for a clutch teleport to save an ally would be more rewarding, while still retaining the global presence she is known for.
Brightwing was the first healer I ever really clicked with, and my favorite announcer to use. It's always made me sad how low-impact she's been in the meta lately, but I'm loving the looks of these changes.
Nice getting to see the man behind the voice, and overall a nice looking update, would like to see more on that lvl 20, guessing it could be used to fully top up people and get a whole team cloaked after waiting for the cds
Amazing! So happy to hear this, I mained BW for around a year and pushed her to Diamond 1, but as the meta changed and characters like Stukov became a thing, she just became useless and I was forced to change it up, so glad I can finally start playing her again.
This little guy is so fun to play. It quickly became one of my favorites once I picked him up. This is a very well designed support hero. It makes doing your job fun and purposeful.
Next to the Kerrigan update, this one actually looks pretty nice! I am really excited to test her out.. and I usually play the Carry role. But some supports and tanks make so much fun that I tend to play them more :)
i REALLY like this change, i played brightwing alot a while back mostly because my ping waws high enougg that i had to play bw or lucio but now when i have better ping i look forward to playing some of this reworked brightwing
How about giving Nazeebo his own version of ice block? I don't think that ability fits his character/class/kit at all. (or did the witch doctor get cold damage runes on his skills in D3? I don't remember)
Brightwing is my favorite hero and these changes look really good. She felt like she'd just been left behind as the game evolved and other, more impactful supports were added. Glad to see she's (probably) a great pick again.
Updating Brightwing is a good move. Did you also get rid of that bug that’ll randomly kick me off HoTs? I’ve read forums where it happens often since 2.0...
I'll be honest, Brightwing was the reason I started playing Heroes in the first place. She was the first Hero I worked toward after I installed the game.
As a Support main, I love these changes. Stopped playing her much since I got introduced to Auriel, and Lucio. But Tyrande rework + BW rework? Thank God Can't see Revitalizing Mist anymore though. Loved that talent. And the multiple blinks as I mess around with the enemy team XD
That's awesome this is the update brightwing needed now he can have a real impact as a very strong healer plus the all the control set he had improved !
Hmmm, Deckard, Whitemane, Tyrande, and now BW (including some Ana plays here and there as well), quite a few supports got introduced recently and they're ALL seeming fairly impactful :)
lvl 1 talent: Greater polymorph -> enemy take downs refresh the cooldown on polymorph (reset city, he we go) lvl 16 Hush! - Arcane flare center silences and reduced dmg Alright, this BW will be very interesting :D
As someone who plays alot of bw, and somehow make it work, with this changes she seems really op, unless they redus the smothing mist heal, like, she before was a high skill support, that negated the damage from many heroes, now she feels that with really more powerfull healing sets
10/10 kevins nips next hero edit, took you two years too long but nice to see the faerie dragon finally gets her trademark phase shift. kind of sad it doesnt cause her to "poof" .
Yknow, similar to Kerrigan's Chrysallis, I'm surprised Brightwing didn't already have Phase Shift. That was, like, the only other ability Faerie Dragons had in Warcraft 3 aside from Mana Flare and Magic Immunity
