Nice to know that the hands have decent lume - i don't care about the indices, had a Movado in my youth, i can live without any at all! - and the thickness is not an issue too. Excellent watch for the price. I think the lovely crystal is the best feature of this watch. It works well with the sunburst dial. But I would have liked this watch even more if it was as a touch smaller

Hey bud , I'm glad you liked this one overall. For me the only real niggle is the lack of AR and more lume in the indices would be nice but with the hands it's usable. I'm a seven wrist also but I find this one fits me well, the thickness disappears on wrist. Still I think it's a great deal. Thanks for the review bud. All the best.
Too plain for my tastes. I thought the case back was more stylish and attractive compared to the dial/front. Not a bad watch. Hopefully they keep improving as they release more watches. Good review. Cheers!
It seems like the lume on the indices only lasts a minute or so, and only the lume pip on the bezel glows. An Addies or a Steeldive will have full, good lume on indices and the bezel. I wonder how bad the lume is on the Great Wave dial? The 300m WR, and domed sapphire is really nice for the asking price, but the crappy lume kills it. The branding is actually, pretty inoffensive.
Yeah the lume on the indices is a bit disappointing. But at least the lume on the hands is good. I've not tried out the Steeldive 62MAS homage. I've got the San Martin one, which is great. But obviously a lot more expensive though.
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR- Got one of these in the post last week. Black dial/PT5000. My main concern was the crystal in the AliExpress photos looked milky. I believe this was lighting and a gray dial. My watch is clear and beautiful. As for the branding, no logo watches look like cheap knock-offs. If a company won't put a logo on it they must be ashamed of their product. Would you buy a no logo Rolex? 🤔 The lume is rated by everyone as very poor. My test is to charge the lume before bed and see if it holds up all night. My bladder timer worked perfectly and the lume, though light on the indices, stayed legible all night. Over the course of a week it held very accurate time. This model is a win/win in my opinion.

I think the rehaut is 2 to 3.5mm too high, compared with the original. ALL homages are in my opinion 🤔. But apart from that, nice watch and a professional and detailed rewiew, thanks for that 👍👍👍
So reflective! No AR probably tends to work better on a flat crystal. I am interested in the Seestern because of the smaller size.... If someone wanted a larger one....I think San Martin makes a really nice version. It's cool that cheaper options are available... But I'm a bit fussy and don't think it's worth it.

I've got the seiko sla043, and it's a gorgeous looking watch. But then at 4k it should be. If you like the look of the 62mas , then watches like this have their place. I think san Martin and armida do the best versions of the 62mas , but obviously that reflects in the cost. I think if you have larger wrists , the spb051 from seiko is a great buy now. You can pick up a decent 2nd hand one for around £500. It's a very impressive watch though for that sort of money. I have both the 051 and the sla043, which was hard for me to splash out nearly 2.5k for the sla used. Insane price I know, but the quality is on the same level as omega and rolex in regards to build quality. I certainly don't regret buying mine, as I know in time , the price will increase because it's such a beautiful design, as all these homages to it, shows that . I've always loved watches, and I can apprieciate that even homages are great for people who love the look, but don't want to spend silly money on a watch. Years ago homage watches were really poor quality and you were lucky if something didn't fall off the dial or the bracelet broke. But now you can buy a really decent made watch that will last for years, and serve you well. Makes you wonder why people like me buy the real McCoy, lol .
This is what's so great about this hobby. No matter what your budget there are plenty of really nice options now. Even if some people can afford to splash out more money on a watch, not all of them may want to. Some not feel comfortable spending that much on a watch. Or perhaps they'd rather have a nice collection of more affordable watches to choose from, rather that just one more expensive piece. Each to their own I say.
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR , yes I totally agree. Even though I've got some nice pieces now, I still get enjoyment from cheaper models. In my experience it doesn't matter what you pay for a watch, every watch has its good and bad points usually. I normally carefully consider every purchase now, because if your spending a lot on one, it has to be right for you. I mean watch prices have spiralled in the last ten years , especially with brands like seiko and the likes of omega and rolex. My grail was an omega planet ocean with the orange bezel, but when it first came out , I just couldn't afford one. And now I can, I won't buy one because they are asking like 3k for a 20 year old model now, which is more than they were , when new. Crazy really, so I tend to be very selective nowadays. I try and keep my collection small , about 6 in total, but ideally would like to get it down to say 3. But I know it's never going to happen, lol.

@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR well I've got a few that need mending to be honest, but I have a few that I hardly wear , but don't really want to sell off either. My best buy was a rado original diver out of a charity shop for £300. They are very rare now and really well made, almost bullet proof. I couldn't believe my luck as it was like new and would have been about 1.5k new. Obviously you don't normally get quality items like that in charity shops very often, so I snapped it up. I rarely buy new anyway, as I like to get a good deal on a used item, so if I get fed up, I won't lose money on it generally. I mean getting a 4k watch at half price is a no brainer really , because it's already found it's value , so if you flip it you wont lose out. But generally I don't buy these days until I'm absolutely sure I want one. I probably need a clear out too, as I have my eye on something at the moment, and I don't really want to expand my collection further , if I can help it.
Nice. I owned a genuine 62MAS and bought a San Martin homage (before they introduced that awful new logo) and I have to say it's very good, lume too and very close to the original. This is too big imo and could have been really good especially with the PT5000 option. Btw, what's in your watch roll just out of focus?

Yes, it's by no means a perfect watch, BUT for the money it does everything pretty well? I have the PT5000 model/version, as I have more than enough NH35/36's etc. and runs very well, eg. within a few seconds a day, which is fine for me. The lume on the hands is fine for me as I can workout where the hands are in relation to markers/indices etc?

Something I've noticed recently mate is your aliexpress link not taking me to the right product. Takes a few clicks to get to it. This is on mobile by the way and may be my issue, not yours
Literally just recently. It's weird, I'm on android and when I tap the link a different product comes up, but when I then tap "open in chrome" I'm taken to the right product.

Depending on your wrist size it might not be as bad as you think. If you check the wrist shot at the end of the review, I don't think it wears as big as you'd think.
Was looking at this in the March sale on Ali express but 50.3 lug length is to big nice looking watch for the money I've got a Hamilton with same lug length just looks daft on small wrist great video cheers
Why not just save your money bro, instead of buying 15 or 20 shitters you can have a genuine Seiko like an SPB- one you can actually wear with pride and pass onto the next gen. Don’t get caught out in the “microshitter” game. Cheers
