I bought Brimaz today, got some interesting pulls from a couple Set boosters, and am debating whether I’ll keep it Orzhov or mox it with my Ixhel-Abzan

It's close, but you really need to be able to sac artifacts > creatures for the KCI combos. Still, the mana generation would work well in the list and fuels an incubation flip for any particularly nasty incubators you having watching to hatch.

What's the significance of bloodline pretender to ancestral statue?

Pyre of Heroes x Bloodline Pretender -> Ancestral Statue, pulls into the combo card. Truth be told, it'll pull into any of the four drops in the deck though... Say a Graveshifter, provided you want to continue the line (return the Pretender or anything you'd like).

ELESH NORN Definitely goes into this deck; especially since after you transform her; if Brimaz is on the field you get to incubate for 4 off of Elesh Norn; transform her and you immediately make 5 incubate tokes that you transform for free and still have a 4/4 incubator to transform; thats 6 incubators off the bat and if you manage to proliferate you can buff em even more too; and if you proliferate her saga to level 2 all phyrexians get indestructible until end of turn.
