Man I am in awe just watching this fight. The amount of detail and work that went into making this fight even more unique then it already was in original calamity in indeed astounding and impressive beyond anything I have seen in modded terraria. I give massive props to the devs and testers making sure that the fights in 1.9 are truly brilliant. I am not sad to see development ending, I am amazed at the quality and effort that they have given us. The music that melds with this experience is something like I've never felt before and the joy I had watching this video was something else. Thank you for providing me and others within the terraria community such a brilliant masterpiece. May all of us continue to remember what the Infernum Team has done for us and not down in sorrow but glisten in happiness and devotion to playing this difficulty throughout with understanding that this is the experience we might have never gotten if it wasn't for them. Thank you Myra for this incredible video and the others presenting the changes that not only happened to Supreme Calamites but to other bosses that have been revamped that otherwise would have been passed considering the fights to be "boring" in normal calamity. (Note: I am not leaving this comment to give any less credit to the calamity team and their own work, what they have done for us as a community is insane and this difficulty mod wouldn't have even been possible if it wasn't for their own work. I send my appreciation for them as well and how the calamity/terraria community comes together to support this mod and what it is doing to indulge and maybe even motivate others to do work as superb as this!)
this looks great, feels way more fitting for a final boss than what we have in normal calamity. the pacing and atmosphere of it is so fast and hectic, really impressed you managed to retain the bullet hell aspects of the original fight without it ruining the pace/feel like it typically does (its almost like people hate boss immunity phases for a reason. hm). the final desperation phase is also great despite it being an immunity dodge phase since retains the pace of the rest of the fight very well and sells the "this is the end, either you die here or i lose"
It seems the fight is mostly the same, just with some small bits of polishing and balance changes. While still cool, I do with that the sprite shown at the start was actually used here. It makes her look super cool, and the animation is great. However, I also know it was not made by the team, and that they likely would've never gotten permission to use it. Also, having the boss's arena finally change color to fit the music is great, though they probably could've taken it one step further by changing the projectile colors to match.
Only Seekers that got overhauled and Arena border effect changing colors. Animation at the start made by MrSmall and I requested permission to use just for the video only. Would be cool if it was in-game though ngl.
@@MyraTerrariaOfficial Yeah, I could tell it was just seekers and the arena (and also the giant blender attack too.) Also, it would be neat indeed if she was more than just her NPC sprite in the battle. It feels really underwhelming to have her just... stand there as a normal NPC. Even Lunatic Cultist was more enthusiastic with his animations.

Warning: Before you do anything to my comment or reply in my comment, please I want you to let you know that everything in here is made up and sometimes there will be a lot of sentences that are not in the Calamity's Story of the boss itself. What I'm talking about is the drop of the boss when they died, they drop an item that let's you read their stories. But in mine, it will look rather different. Also, some sentences are pretty confusing or bad sentences. Stories will be bad...I suppose. Intro 0:01 - The Brimstone Witch (Calamitas Intro) 0:05 - First Thunder 0:08 - Summoning 0:16 - A Crack Screen 0:17 - The World's Roar Phase 1 - The Haunting Nightmare 0:22 - The First Companion 0:29 - The Fight Began Sepulcher - The ancient calamitas worm, the first companion of Supreme Calamitas. She has been petting her favorite pet since centuries and now it grew so much, she decided to let her pet go. She found the ancient calamitas worm long before Terraria. The ancient calamitas worm was born in a big egg that is similar to the size of an fence gate. Note - This story was before she meets the two knights. Somehow for some reason, the egg just pass through the meteor and then the egg just stays there...with her...forever. Man idk I suck at making stories but I think this one makes a lot more...sense right?...right? 1:09 - The Death of Her Favorite Pet 1:10 - Supreme Calamitas Turn Phase 2 - Skilled Momentum 2:20 - A Dark Aura 2:24 - The Fight Began Supreme Calamitas Part 1 - Supreme Calamitas was born on an empty black void on space by atoms. And then she float to the endless void...forever. She has no expression or emotions, just wanting to die because there is no one saving her from this madness. Her life keeps getting worse as days, weeks, months, or even years go by. Not until centuries later, she starting to see a light. The light was so bright she had to cover up her eyes. And then...she is on a planet. Phase 3 - Guardians of the God 4:02 - Dimensional Summoning 4:03 - An Explosive Reveal 4:05 - Locked Up Dash 4:09 - The Fight Began Catastrophe and Cataclysm (Supreme Calamitas Part 2) Warning: LONG STORYYYYYYYYYYYYY - They are the guardians of Supreme Calamitas. Before they turned into a skillful warriors, they are just normal beings (humans). They have been friends since they are kids. They live in a kingdom named Gasurto. They live in there for decades. As the two are starting to walk, they notice a bright flash light in the sky. The two covers up their eyes as the meteor came crash down into the ground. The two decided to run to go to the meteor. After 3 minutes, they finally reach it. The two investigates to see what was on the meteor. They find a teen girl with a pet egg on her. The two shocked. They notice that there are a lot of bruises on the girl when the meteor crashed and the egg too is seriously injured. The teen girl looks up at the two and says who are they. The boy is named Ryan and the girl is named Mavis (man, this made up names is stupid). The two decided to ask the same thing. The teen girl's named is--- (WAITTTTTTTTTTT, BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING CONTROVERSIAL TO THE REPLIES, I MUST SAY THIS. REMEMBER WHAT I SAID ABOUT THIS IS ALL MADE UP? WELL, THE NAMES WILL TOO. PLEASE DON'T TAKE IT TOO SERIOUSLY. ALRIGHT, CONTINUE THE STORY). The teen's girl named is Vayna. The two said it was a good name. But then, the teen girl said that was her made up name, her real name is Supreme Calamitas. The two said why her real name is like that. The teen girl said when she was born, a voice told me that my name will be Supreme Calamitas. There's nothing she could do to change her name. She cannot change her name even though she wants the voice to change her name, the voice can't and that will be her name forever. So she decided to make up a new name for her by herself, and it will be Vayna. And then she waited for something to happen. Nothing...nothing...nothing...nothing...suffered...depression...blood...kill...or...be...killed...happy...sad...di-$-#&#&$'$'$:9$8$83:$7_-×€=¥÷|™}. The two friends saddens. They hug the teen girl as the teen girl cries. They know that she stuck in the meteor for so long that she wanted to die. The three finish their hugging and the two decided to tell the teen girl that she needs that egg and follow the two to their kingdoms. What the teen girl didn't know was that the two will retire after for 12 years working as a knight in the kingdom. At the kingdom, the two knights decided to tell the king that they will retire due to complicated issues. The king explains about what is their complicated issues. The two decided to fake it that their parents are worrying about them and visiting them everytime they go into the forest. The king thinks for a second and decided to let the two knights go. After the king's talk, the two decided to retire and go back to the little girl in the camp where they will start a new home. Phase 4 - A Rage God 6:36 - Bats Summoning 6:40 - Explosive Aura 6:57 - Sun's Ray 7:07 - Continue Battle Supreme Calamitas Part 3 Warning: LONG STORYYYYYYY...again - 9 years later, the girl knight is making a breakfast for the three and the egg. The egg hatch when the teen girl turned 16. It was pretty shocking for them that what's inside the egg is just so horrifying that the two knights back away. It was just an armored caterpillar (look idk if sepulcher is caterpillar or worm let me know. idk anything about the creature.) The girl knight loudly shout breakfast is ready. No response. Shout again. No response. Shout again. No response. God this is gonna get tiring. Shout again. No response. The girl is angry and then she decided to go to heir bedroom when they notice that the window is broken. The girl knight looks around and widen her eyes as she sees that the boy knight is seriously injured and Supreme Calamitas is protecting him. The girl knight shouted their names as she falls to the second floor not hurting her feet. The girl knight tell what happened. Supreme Calamitas said that the worm detects something near our house and then the worm breaks the window and falls down. The two decided to follow the worm to see what the worm smell. It stops, look up and sees a red light. A god came in to their home. Knocks the two and the worm away. Thankfully, Supreme Calamitas and the worm didn't hurt but the knight is seriously injured. End of the Flashback. The girl knight shouted to the god "who are you". The god plays with the two knights and the teen girl "and" the worm. The god plays with them so much that the teen girl is starting to get low damage. The Supreme Calamitas said stop and summons a bullet that dodges the god and continues the playing. The Supreme Calamitas said another stop and the god decided to stop them. Supreme Calamitas said to the god why is he playing with them. Because they wanna talk a deal with them. The boy knight said they hurting them for a deal. The girl knight thought it was too much to hurt them for a deal. The god said if they talk again, they will hurt again. The god decided to talk about the deal. If they surrender, the knights will turned into a max skilled armored knight with indestructible armor, the Supreme Calamitas will learn her true powers and the worm will be gigantic. Or fight with the god himself, and if they win, they will let them free and have a good life again of if they lose, the god will destroy the world. Since they have no choice, they chose surrender. Phase 5 - The Last Life Note: I'm tired with the timestamps so I hope you enjoy the last phase. 9:19 - Before Death Supreme Calamitas Final Part - The god said "good" and decided to sacrifice their hearts. The three including the worm, they feel something is stabbing them too many times in their bodies. And then a dark aura rises from the ground into heir body. They still suffered until the dark aura covers their entire body. The god said the...idk the Naruto reference "This world shall no pain, all mighty push". The dark aura lets the three including the worm go. And the three smiled and the worm is now gigantic as they feel an incredible body. The three...are now turned into a...monstrosity...including...the worm. Well, I hope you enjoyed. Idk it took me 1 hour? There's no way the creator wouldn't notice and heart me or the people who watch this. You know what, I will wait.

And yes, thank you for reading my own story for Supreme Calamitas and her companions. Time is pain. My story is bad and the sentences are pretty confusing but I hope you love it.

But, maybe in the future we would have a backstory to Supreme Calamitas and her companions? Idk if calamity would ever expanded the origins of the bosses. :(
You inspired me to play infernum, hadn’t even done revengence yet… pre skeletron so progress I guess lol. If you can let me know what the hardest boss in infernum is so I can mentally prepare.
Pre-hardmode is likely Skeletron because you have to take your time learning him. Hardmode honestly they aren't super hard since at that point you'll have decent gear and some experience. But they're still not wasy though. Post-moon lord however is where the real challenge begin. Pretty much every boss after this point requires absolute patient and skill to learn and fight

@@0-0-255repertorium Wow ok, thanks! It just seemed more optimal and I didn't see Myra doing it. Obv they still beat Infernum SCal, which I only do *very* inconsistently. I still haven't done ti on 1.9 either, and I don't think I can tbh. Props to Myra for not doing so early after the 1.9 release.

At first, Calamitas attacks looks so fast like it seems unavoidable for me. But after dying 217 times fighting her and winning, her attacks looks much slower now 😂
Just died to the desperation phase because I didn't know the attacks (on my 7th attempt, which is unbelievable), came here to see what was waiting for me and boy does this seem sketchy
Did you add in the music yourself, or does it actually just keep going in the fight? One thing that bothered me is that in the normal fight i couldnt hear the whole of such a great soundtrack, but watching the fight in its whole with the music not fading in and out of its phases is simply great
Myra fought Scal in such a way that she timed her phase changes perfectly to synch with the music, thats why this video seems so perfect, she literally timed it to be that way, absolute Legend
Myra, why does the background shader change from red to blue ahead of time? In my Calamity Infernum, it doesn't change earlier; it changes when the Calamitas' brothers appear. Is it a video editing or do you have some configuration in your Calamity Infernum?

Where do you get the Brimstone Crescent Staff? I assume you have to find it in the world somewhere like The Wayfinder. I did go to the Brimstone Crag and Calamitas was there and spawned in a flower but I can't think of anywhere else

I've always felt like supreme Calamitas in the base mod is frankly underwhelming in terms of difficulty. Literally beat her on the first try I ever did. Seeing this, though.. that concern's no longer there, suffice it to say.
Calamitas: So, you mortals have finally arrived... It's been a very long time since I had visitors. You were going on slaughtering all those monsters, sentinels, pillars, and even night creatures. Now, the time has come for you to suffer, as I, Calamitas, the Brimstone Witch, Goddess of Eternal Calamity, will make your last moments your most corrupted, your most painful, and your most calamitous!
That arena looks fucking awesome, I might have to steal... i mean borrow some of those ideas. My infernum world has slowly become the host of some of my proudest builds now lol. Everytime I'm just not in the mood to get my ass beat by a boss i take a break and do some building, and my god on this final 5 boss gauntlet that has been frequent. SCal is actually really fun though and honestly is seeming easier to me then exo mechs at this point but idk, I got her down to 40%ish hp and still haven't done that many attempts i feel like (compared to yharon at least which was an absurd amount)
Meanwhile me skipping half the fight because of the “perfectly balanced” calamity overhaul murasama and still dying to the big laser because I built my platforms too close.
I’m only on Yharon now for my infernum play through so it might be part of the fight but how do you get the music in your videos to be exactly the same length as the fight. Like I didn’t hear a single cut of the music and I’m pretty sure it played straight through the whole song. There’s no way it’s done on accident

Dumb question but what are the platforms used in this arena that allow for you to hold down and you dont lose vertical speed, but you can stand on if you want?
Is this even teraria anymore like remember back then when you would hit a slime with a fire sword and it would die and a skelton man was the final boss now we have mods that add gods and wizards and wifues
This is the one boss of the mod I just genuinely could not tolerate. Bear in mind I beat the Exo Mechs and got the Exoblade beforehand so it's not like I was underprepared. The arena is just nowhere near big enough to accommodate for her sometimes impossibly difficult attacks that hit like freight trains. It feels like it's entirely luck based whether you even make it to the desperation phase, let alone with enough health to last.
Tbf, the exoblade is disproportionately terrible on the DPS side of things. Most other melee weapons even a tier before it can easily double its output. If you haven’t already maybe you could go back and try something else
