I cry every time I listen to Austin singing this! Having lost my younger brother to Parkinson's a couple of years ago may have something to do with the tears - I miss him so much. But regardless, Austin's performance is so powerful!

To the mom of 2 small boys (4 & 5) that I was lucky enough to call my one 2 years ago when I met my amazing bf this one hit. I've never heard this song before but Austin wow. Of course Denise you nailed the the reaction. Well said sir.

The live video from a few years ago was great, but it basically showed of Austin's ability to belt. This performance demonstrated his maturity, the further development of his technique and his ability to not just sing amazingly, but to convey the emotions of the song.

Great cover. This song is my favorite from Les Miserables, the way he is willing to take his place, just like Jesus Christ did for us. Gentri met each other during a performance of Les Miserables, and reprised their roles last year. Again I suggest "Dare" the original song by Gentri, it can and has saved lives.

Austin has a fabulous voice and I enjoyed the performance a great deat. Just a side note, for which I'm sure I'll be torched, but I didn't feel it as emotionally as I did from either the original cast or the movie. Perhaps it was the home setting. Doesn't really matter, but I did note that. Still loved the performance of my all time favorite song.

Austin's voice has changed in the last year. It was always amazing but the technique is so good now that there is real heft behind it. This means that he can fill those top notes with sweetness, not just power. Unlike many singers, he likes the silences and uses them to convey thought, while being able to show us exactly what he's thinking/feeling. I don't want Austin to leave HF. I'm sure you don't either. From recent interviews, he seems to have no great ambition for a solo career, and sure enough it's hard enough for those who have the ambition to be heard and make a living. But it's infuriating to think that such a gift will get nowhere in particular. His girlfriend's plan to take him away from Nashville to a farm in the boondocks is not going to help his career one bit, either, I'm sorry to say. Nashville is full of influential people in the music industry and he has friends there (including Tim and his circle). We'll see.
