You gotta keep in mind, Jordan wasn't the sole producer/writer . Him and Oli were co producing and writing, and I can't imagine that Oli hasn't gained a tons of knowledge from Jordan in the past decade of working so tightly together. So I know the band will be fine and that Oli will put that knowledge well into practice

Agreed. Oil does A LOT in this band. He’s not just a singer. People don’t realize how much talent he has beyond just being the vocalist. Oil IS Bring me the horizon. And he’s a smart guy, he will make it work.

I mean for what I've seen on the "making of" type of videos that they upload, interviews, yes Oli might be a mastermind like directing where the song goes, ideas and all that but the actual skills to make it happen were from Jordan

Jordan was able to help Oli release his creativity. Jordan has stated this many times. I believe BMTH will be fine without Jordan as long as Oli is there, as they have the pick of producers worldwide. They also seem to be heading back down a heavier route which is exciting. You said that the song was bad due to your own opinion. Unfortunately the tracks were mixed and mastered by Zakk Cervini and Dan Lancaster so you're just saying that Jordan is a better producer than both of them plus Oli. They both mix and master tracks for many large bands and groups and are hired to due just that. So saying the mix is atrocious is very ingenuous. The rest of the band have grown plentiful as musicians too over this past decade, they’re not the same band they were in 2012. Even the heavier stuff they’ve dropped recently sounds so much better than their old stuff. Of course I’m sad to see Jordan go since I used to hate this band until he joined and made me do the biggest 180 I’ve ever done on any artist. But I am really intrigued to see where the band goes from here. DROP YOUR FISH

Jordan is my favorite modern day keyboardist and one of my favorite production producers right now, the guy is immensely talented. This is a big loss for the group for sure but I won't quite count them out yet. Jordan wasn't involved with There is a Hell which was mostly Oli doing all of the programming. That album was chock-full of creative and unique sonic soundscapes. They won't be the same band, that's for sure but I'm going to hold out to see how they bounce back from this.

The money thing is a rumor with no sources. Could be plausible. Could also just be creative differences with Oli. He has said in interviews how sporadic and almost mental Oli is in the creative process at times. They were bringing in other producers lately which would probably feel like stepping on Jordan's toes too. All these delays do point to a messy split and probably figuring out the EP stuff with how Jordan would get credit, money, etc. Bummer either way

Fun fact: Oli Sykes was the main driving force of the Sempiternal album, Jordan Fish even said in an interview that when he came on in early Sempiternal production he wasn’t sure that what they were doing was going to work, but trusted in Oli’s vision for the album, and was surprised by how incredible it turned out

Hasn’t Jordan said time and time again that Oli was the creative force of the band and that he was just the one who understood his ideas and composed them? The band without Jordan’s going to sound different now that it’s lacking his touch but the band is far from doomed, at the moment they’re huge and all they’d need is another member or even just a producer to help bring Oli’s ideas to life again in whatever ways he wouldn’t be able to do himself, he’s been with Jordan watching him do this for over a decade so I’m sure he’ll be able to fill the boots pretty well. As a fan I’ll miss Jordan a lot but also as a fan I’ll continue to support the band and have faith that they’ll still be able to follow through with what they’ve done since CYB

To this day their last 3 albums have become my favorites by a mile over their older music that fans always clamor for. I'm hoping that despite this being worrying given Jordan was such a huge part of the writing process, that the other band members can finally have a say in the music again because it seriously feels like Oli and Jordan have been doing everything and just write the guitar parts on keyboard and send them to Lee, I can't imagine they've been thrilled about having so little say the past few years.

The truth is, we aren’t going to hear the actual repercussions of Jordan’s departure for a while. I’m sure they’re going to at least use some of his ideas, soundscapes. Albeit maybe some of the writing will be different going forward. Oli is keenly aware of their reputation and status among the genre of rock, I doubt he’s going to let the band down with his decisions. The man was INTEGRAL on changing the bands sound and breaking their boundaries as you said and I’m SO grateful that I saw them twice when Jordan was still in (at Knotfest and co headlining with Fall Out Boy). Hopefully this doesn’t fully become a slipknot situation but I’m kinda skeptical at this point 😬

yup and even more interesting is one of the first people jordan had unfollowed prior to the announcement of him leaving was dan lancaster who not only is a producer bmth has work for with years including the new album and who had just posted a photo in the studio with jordan a few months ago. also jordan's wife unfollowed or blocked just about anyone in bmth including the other wifes and kept reposting on her stories about only keep the people that matter in your life and stuff like that. so it sure doesn't seem like it ended well and was probably a lot more personal than they are letting on.

Seeing their ambitious transition through their first 3 albums, I think that a hit album like Sempiternal was due to happen, with or without Fish. Keep in mind, Lee had mentioned that during There Is a Hell.. he barely listened to metal anymore, and they had set their foundations for some experimentation that came later on. I was thinking the same thing when I heard about this. Fish was pretty much responsible for ringing in a new era of BMTH and although I'm not the craziest about some of their recent albums, it seemed like they could do little to no wrong with him in the band. So him leaving did not sound like a great move for the band. I think the band will continue to do great stuff. I could even see them continuing to work with Jordan in the future. Jordan has made it clear over the years that he’s not a huge part of the bands live shows (I disagree his vocals are great). I also feel that Oli doesn’t get enough credit for his role in the production/programming elements. It seems like a lot of the ideas are coming from Oli and Jordan is executing those ideas. That said, there’s a ton of behind the scenes videos on YT of them making songs and I can see how there could be some head butting in their creative process. The paradise Eve videos from 2020 is a great example of Jordan wanting to be done with the song but Oli wanting to continually change parts of it. Anyway, time will tell I suppose.

They'll be fine they've incorporated keyboards since suicide season, brought out a two electro releases before Jordan even joined. I see them still doing electro stuff with or without him lol.

I think that the band is really going to suffer without Jordan. When they first announced the fact that Jordan had left Bring Me, I thought that it was related to the demanding touring schedule, but after Jordan unfollowed Oli and the rest of Bring Me, I realized there had to be some sort of major fallout. I'm so glad that I was able to see them live with Jordan this summer and last year!

I'm a bit sad he's left bring me but I'm more excited than sad actually, excited to see what Jordan works on next and have been and still am (with kool aid for example) for the next gen album since they've been working with one of my personal favourite producers which is Daidai from Paledusk. He did some production and writing for them for Darkside and Amen and handled the production of Kool Aid too if I'm not mistaken!!

I seconds this, Lee has looked bored shitless since Jordan took on a bigger role. He's a great player and I can only hope he has some creative juices to unload now he gets a proper chance to shine again. It's not a coincidence that bring me got AS big as they were before Jordan joining, even if Sempiternal onwards did catapult them. At least in the UK they were SUPER popular and well known before Semp. I have the upmost faith in them... amd Kool-Aid slaps.

As far as creatively the Survival Horror stuff sounds very Oli. It feels like Oli is trying to take back creative control and release 'his' music

When BMTH first recruited Jordan & Sempiternal dropped I remember tweeting something about how he ruined the band, funny enough he liked my tweet lol. Years later though, I do think Jordan spearheaded this band & without him, they probably wouldn’t have gone on to achieve all of the accolades they’ve received. Either way though, I can’t wait to see what Jordan does next, his production is ace & he’s truly a class act.

They’ll probably be fine without him and continue to put out solid 8s, Oli seems to be the main ideas person. A lot (but not all) of what makes the band great and interesting was there before Jordan joined. Loved Jordan’s work though, his production and writing was a big part of why I loved the recent albums, and this is a massive loss. Will be looking forward to hearing his next project as much as the next BMTH thing. Hope he does something on camera too because the guy was hilarious in the behind the scenes videos.

Saw them at Upheavel festival in the summer of '23. They will be fine. They are mixing heaviness with their more "poppier" stuff which I like the mix of both. While it sucks Fish will no longer be with BMTHA they will survive. They were successful before he came

I think BMTH will be more than fine without Jordan. I love Jordan but the band was around for a decade before Jordan was around and the 4 members still in the band are all child hood friends and original members so I don’t see them imploding without him. I will miss Jordan for sure but bring me the horizon will continue to be a success without him as they have so much talent still in the band :)

They're still gonna be popular and may even make some great stuff but I think it's a huge loss. You can see the disconnection with this EP, even though it's shaping up quite good. Fish gives me an Akira Yamaoka vibe and it works so well with the band. I think Bad Omens are on a better trajectory in terms of good music and hell even the Devil Wears Prada came back great. oh and I Prevail are killing it too.

I think you're looking too much into drama where there isn't any tbh In Jordan's recent interview with Finn he is clearly in awe of Oli's creativity and attributes BMTH's sound to his ability to turn Oli's crazy ideas into reality. He says it's exhausting, so that ties in with wanting to spend more time with his family, too. What BMTH need is someone who can understand and truat in Oli's vision and they will continue on the same path.

Also realise that oli was definitely taught a lot from Jordan for over a decade and probably a stronger song writer and producer in his own right now. At first I felt sad that Jordan left, but to see him go and work with spiritbox soon after leaving BMTH makes me glad we can hear his influence in other great bands.

I think Jordan is a bit stuck on a specific sound and the band wants to branch out in different directions. If you listen to the songs he’s worked on with Poppy and Bad Omens they’re very similar to Sempiternal/That’s The Spirit era.

Jordan was a key part of Bring Me’s return to the big stage in the 2010’s, but hey. They’ll be fine even with him absent. Oli-as many have corroborated-is the #1 creative man behind the machine within Bring Me, and Jordan’s job was basically to help him express Oil’s ideas in music form. Now we can see Oli is able to do all of this on his own, which sucks because we won get to see Jordan coming in with those killer backing vocals. But hey, I wish Jordan all the best, and Bring Me an amazing future

IDK if I'm the odd one out but I've always thought BMTH has always been very adept at rolling with an ever changing music scene, always evolving but yet maintaining their foundation. I like the risks they take, sometimes I'm not a fan of a song or 2 but I never feel they're awful. I hate to see long time memebers leave but sometimes people just grow in opposite directions. I'm always looking forward to a new BMTH song.
