I wouldn't have ever called green day political. I would call what they were anti political. They hated the system and the corruption. I always loved them for it. Now it seems like most celebrities, they're fighting for the system. It's sad to watch. Same thing happened to Eminem.
i am a listener of happy hardcore from the 90s and i can hear the work of these DJs making different drops and making it sound so heavenly and unique when today's edm just is repeating the same thing over and over. look at the difference.

I honestly cant stand the latest albums. There is nothing remotely substantial with their music imo. They have some catchy songs but its just a bit ”nothiny”

You’d want some who can still perform who were there in ‘69. Then, real ROCK rock groups from today. Then a few of todays folk/rock/ballad performers. Maybe two rap acts. Do it all in ONE DAY. A Saturday. It ends hopefully at around 11pm. That’s when you announce the rough figure of how much you’ve raised thus far for some ONE charity. Maybe to one of these groups which pay all medical expenses for needy patients. People must have facilities on the premises for purchasing (at normal cost) basic necessities: especially water!!!! You need many portable rest rooms. You need police to run the roads as traffic will have high travel times.

“American Idiot” worked in 2004 because it was anti-establishment. It was a rebellion (of sorts) against the people who were running the country back then, most notably our then-president. It doesn’t work if you try to retool it to be about a non-current office holder. “I’m rebelling against a man who does not currently hold any power,” makes little to no sense.
I don't understand why people take a small incident that wasn't even bad or upsetting and turn it into a huge thing like he did something wrong when he didn't do anything wrong.

I went to a Green Day show a few years ago in west Palm beach, FL and Billie Joe was yelling on stage “ohhh truuump I bet you can hear me from mar a lago…fuuuck youuu” it was hilarious 😂
They’re not the worst band in history, and these days it’s worth supporting popular bands that actually play their instruments unlike all the electronic music taking up people’s attention. My problem with Fall Out Boy was always cultural. You can’t play punk music when you’re from the North Shore.
Saw the DC concert 2 nights ago !!! It was absolutely great! Worth the money !!! I think the Nationals Baseball Stadium was sold out!!! The Rain Stopped . Smashing Pumpkins came on! They were great!!! Then Greenday!!! They rocked🎸🎸🚀🚀
Its still too poppy. Breakup songs are forever now just a pop thing. Yes, guitar does make for a good rock song, but it can also appear in classical, metal, country, and yes, pop. I can appreciate one thing. It inspires young rock fans.

I don't get why they say they lose relevancy when they claim to know WHEN they stopped. Green Day is MORE relevant because Maga is angry and talking about them. All they have to do is stop talking.
Green Day has had political undertones for decades and I don't see this as anything more than freedom of expression. They've never kept it a secret that they don't like Mr. Trump. On a different topic, some of the comments I saw about Trump's assassination attempt on July 13th were really disappointing. I have to remind everyone that whether we love him or hate him, we're supposed to condemn political violence and be thankful that he survived. By the way, regardless of anything else, I'm really tired of the nonstop Trump Show. He's been front-page news for like 9 years straight and I'm tired of it. I really wish he wasn't running again.
Exactly It's a formula that's worked for decades. If you trigger people they can't resist complaining and end up boosting what they're whining about 😂. People still haven't figured it out and keep up the outrage
