+TheEpicTeletubbie We will never sleep cause sleep is for the weak, no we will never rest till we are flipping dead. I think you could do this with nearly every bmth song :D
i wish people would stop complaining about their new sound. oli has become happier and if this is the music that comes from his journey getting there, then i fully support it
Same here man. If the band wants to do songs like this, then I fully support them. And let's be honest-That's The Spirit was incredible. (In my opinion)
Also the band isn't going to like the same music 10 years later. So as Oli is growing up he's making music that appeals to his older audience and the newer one can always go back and listen to their older stuff. The band is growing with the music and honestly I think all of their music is pretty amazing. It is just good for everyone. lol srry for the long ass paragraph.
I don't see why everyone hates on them because they've changed their music style. Isn't it up to them what type of music they produce...? If you like their old stuff, listen to that instead.
When people start to criticize the music just because they changed their style, that's when you see how many true fans they got. A fan, no matter what happens, they will stick with them. I personally, like their older stuff, but still love every single album they have made. BMTH for life hahaha no matter what :)
@@grnwl329 THANK YOU. The band decided to change, both because Ollie can't scream a ton anymore cause he fucked his vocal cords and because he wanted to do something different. As he became a less angry person the album's became softer. You can see the journey his mental health has takenby comparing the lyrics. He's doing a lot better now than he was then.
I love how they are so concentrated and present while singing and playing their instruments, but when they need to talk, they're so shy and introvert :)
Hahaha so funny damn he changed one word such comedy much fun jajaja that was funniest thing ever damn thank you for point this one you worthless human beeing
+Danny O'Connor Guess someone didn't love you enough when you were a kid and your life is so miserable now that you have to try to drag other people down.
Oliver honestly sounds as if his vocals are incredibly underdeveloped. Maybe it's due to some sort of injury, I have no way of knowing. Much respect to him as a musician, though.
+Matthias Averitt I think that he broke his vocal cords during a gig. That was just before sempiternal. So, I think that was also the reason they changed the sound for sempiternal.
the man is sick, yet he still sounds good. a bit shakey on Throne, but still amazing. love this guy. love this band. Jordan Fish's vocals were insane too
There is so much production going on with these guys. Their keys player is fantastic and adds so many different kinds of dynamics to the band. Well done guys!
+RonBonTuska they done it in many other radio1 studio sasions, like sandpit turtel or there's a hell, trust me i've seen it. this wasn't the first time they cencored their lyrics
When I first got into metal these guys just started appearing and yes I was an elitist metal head. For years I didn't like them strictly because they weren't "hard enough" or they were too "catchy and poppy". I recently started listening to them and Oli's quote in the first interview completely changed my mind. "We want to be the hardest band in the pop spectrum rather than the softest band in metal spectrum."
nobody's probably gonna care but i'm gonna write this anyway, i've been with this band since i was 13 (i'm soon to be 20) and i used to like their heavy stuff, but as i was getting older my music taste started changing and what was so perfect that this band changed with me, yes it's getting softer and softer, but that means they change and change is always good, i'm forever in love with sempiternal, but oh god that's the s-p-i-r-i-t is gooood
i’m super lateeeee, but i’ve only been fan for the past 4-5years, and i don’t know any of the band members lol but it’s fans like you that keep them going ! 🤘💛
Lol well with all due respect, he did give all of bmth a whole new sound and incorporated a whole new genre of them. It helped them grow a lot, whether you like it or not.
One of the greatest bands of all time. We all miss the 90's music because it was written with emotion, causing the person listening to it to feel the emotion. Well my friends here it is again! I hope the spread like wild fire! God knows the world needs it. Peace, love, and all the above!
The reason oli's singing sounds a bit "rough" is because his vocal chords are damaged from years of singing. The band is still great and Oliver is still a great artist. He is working with a vocal coach and I believe Jordan has been helping him as well. don't give up on one of your favorite bands just cause they sound a bit off lol
oli you will never ever read this I'm sure. but i m 25 and lost 33 friends to heroin OD. and i am 1 yr 8months clean! and i applaud you on your recovery! i saw you guys live in January 2019 in Nashville. and it was such an incredible show. I'm anOG fan from count your blessings days! and the lineup on the opening night of the tour was INCREDIBLE! really wish you would come to AR you could sell out the arena. and it was just bought by a big bank! one of these days i hope to get VIP meet. and meet you congratulations on all of your accomplishments hard work. and effort you've not got that much more to go to reach the top! much love Oli, hope you're Alright mate. cheers -toke
0:13 - "THRONE" 3:11 - INTERVIEW 5:27 - "HAPPY SONG" 9:26 - INTERVIEW 11:42 - "DROWN" ❤❤A LITTLE FLIPPING LOUDER 😂❤INSTEAD OF A LITTLE FUCKING LOUDER i still love it even if its different i love it i love you guys❤❤❤❤❤
If what Oli says about the goal of Thats the Spirit then I guess they have successfully did it.This is the album that sold me and made me addicted to the album.Sure,I am also addicted to Sempiternal but this the album that really nailed it.Good job bmth!
Yep super true but since 85% of their fans are little scene chicks who care for image and drama, and thats Oli too the core, Oli will unfortunately always be the face of the band. The one with the most talent in the band that brought them to the success they're at now is definitely Jordan and everything he's done since he joined.
Still my favorite band in metalcore. They are still killing it! Now I want these same flawless vocals live on a stage and with a magnificent crowd to sing along!
what I noticed in most happy song live performance is that oli always struggled to scream the line "well don't you feel so much better?" always a little voice crack during that part
you know what i mean? you know what i mean? you know what i mean? just middle finger up if you don't give flip, you know what i mean? like flip flip flip until our heart give up like im singing a little flipping louder know what i mean?, Jokes aside oliver says everytime ''know what i mean'' but jacoby shaddix from papa roach ''know what im saying'' is like every lead singer of metal bands is obsessed by knowing if someone is understanding 105% what is he or she saying. xD
I wish I could find a band I love as much as bring me the horizon. I feel such an emotional connection with them that just listening them sing "live" through a screen makes me cry
Ezekiel M no i know that but they disliked the first album alot thats why they dont preform songs from it often. they only preform pray for plagues sometimes because the fans want it
+brokenfangXD if you actually listen carefully to their new songs, you'll find their true taste in music. Not count your blessings style nor sempiternal. But maybe somewhere in the middle. They just turned this way in order to survive the industry. I do believe their signature sound was in There's a Hell(...) and Sempiternal. IMO
