Corpse actually stated that bmth was very supportive of his music career really early on!! It was so amazing to see the two collab to create such a banger
It's crazy how Corpse has been saying that he listened to BMTH when he was younger and now he's literally making a collab with them. The instrumental part really gives me a lot of Suicide Season vibes. Corpses screams are truly insane, Oli's Sempiternal-type of scream is giving me goosebumps
there are a Lot of collabs that start like that, and it's always so wholesome and fun when people get to make music with people they grew up on. like when Billie Eilish had Justin Bieber on bad guy. i wish i had a better example but still
@@AliKat831 I think that on Sempiternal, his voice was already ruined. I think that Count Your Blessings caused the biggest damage. But maybe you're right and that might be why he doesn't do that anymore
@@AliKat831 He did, although it wasn't due to bad technique more than it was him overusing them on tour while he was sick, he stopped screaming from like 2019-2020
@@angelashinner yeah, as much as i love corpse's screams i, feel sad that he is tormenting his vocal cords doing it, i know im a little egotistic by saying that he should scream more :/
@@Bl4keBelladonna yes i know, im sorry im just a little biased towards his screams as much as it pains him. I think he puts the pain he is having into art, in the most beautiful way
That is undoubtedly the best part of the song. Made me smile uncontrollably. The music is good, don't get me wrong. But hearing Corpse laughing this happily is great. He deserves it!
Nah their side question was going soft and mainstream to fill the role of Lincoln Park, that is being the gateway to metal. Now that they have done that, they are going back to the main storyline of being heavy!
I've always wondered if it hurt him because of his condition. In general I think he really improved in making his screams more varied with lower growls, he seems to have more technique than before
To hear the voice that used to tell me creepypastas/true scary stories to sleep, now singing and screaming along with one of my childhood fave bands makes me just wanna yell the biggest "YES" of all time.
@@GabrielXDrums I realized recently that releasing Amo was actually kind of a genius move for their career. I don't know if they intended it to be somewhat of a throwaway album, but coming out with Amo and bringing in the poppier fans is what allows them to do whatever the fuck they want now and not get any hate. If they come out with emo/poppier stuff, they have the Amo fanbase to appease and now that they're making heavy stuff again the old fans are losing their minds. Oli is playing 6d chess with BMTH since Amo and we were never prepared, at this point they can't do any wrong musically
This song is insane! BMTH deathcore mixed with the corpse style is amazing , could be a side project on ita own haha the new Kim Dracula is also awesome. Your reactions are always classic, that ending 😂 love your other stuff but glad you still react to these occasionally
The synths and general instrumentation reminds me a lot about Heavy Metal (the one track on Amo that got a ton of hate, although I personally found it to go hard), but this easily runs circles around it.
BMTH has arguably, if not easily, been the best metal/rawr/rock/wtf-ever you wanna call it band in the game since 'amo' dropped. They completely turned the corner into being able to do EVERYthing better than just about everyone, then these collabs have just been fucking insane as of late. And I know more and more is to come. Cannot fukkin' wait!!
@@lewiswhitfield4362 I kinda agree but I’m just glad that they expanded their discography. Every Deathcore/Metalcore band can do something like "this is what the edge" or "count your blessings" but they can’t do something like Sempiternal, That’s The Spirit, Amo and Post Human. The only band who did it best was Linkin Park but rn BMTH is just the best.
While it's always fun to hear people always do the Corpse impression whenever they collab, it's also fun to hear people scream for extended time when doing a BMTH collab. See: Halsey with "Experiment on Me." Can confirm, they can RIP live, and deff got encouragement from Jordan and Oli when they were helping with that track.
Corpse did these kinds of screams before but man i still thought it was Oli screaming from the first time ive heard it, its so good, His screams sounds so good on a metal setting.
@@angelashinner I mean, his style is quite specific and his songs can be even seen as bit of a meme. There's enough reason for people to dislike his music even though YOU like it.
@@angelashinner well i didnt originaly hate his music it just wasnt my taste, but my friend would play his songs 24/7 whenever he had the speaker and that made me kinda hate his music. But as I said I listened to this song without any bias and it kinda changed my opinion on his style.
@@Alexander-vb3lj I understand. When you said you hated him specially since the word “hate” is so strong, I thought you meant you were one of his crazy haters who hate him for ridiculous reasons like accusing him of using a voice changer or having only “14 years old girls” as his fans if you know what I mean. I’m happy you enjoyed this song. (Edited for a typo)
I had mine with DAYWALKER. I really didn’t expect bro to scream, especially not with his condition and I think that’s what hit me so hard. Not a huge fan of Corpse, but I do respect him massively
even though it literally sounds like the tetris theme (DONT tell them i said that lmfao) i cannot stop listening to this track. seriously love the flirtatious edgy-ness corpse brings to his stuff, and the humor and experience of BMTH combined with that is mwah magnifique edit: also the squeal after the second chorus?????!?!?!?!?? not oli straight up inventing an entire new screaming technique what the FOCK dude
This was amazing and I am so happy for Corpse for getting a chance to collab with BMTH. Corpse stated multiple times in the past that his voice got as deep as it is as a result of a medical condition he has (he always had a deep voice but in the last few years or so it had gotten deeper because of the medical condition). He also has other medical conditions that he deals with on a daily basis. It doesn't stop him from doing what he loves but it does limit him at times.
Always knew the dude could fit within the metal music scene so well if he wanted to, and metal has been becoming more appreciated by wider audiences lately so not all that surprised by a collab like this. Rap has always gone well with metal, but maybe its something I think as someone who grew up on nu metal and never lost the love for the heavier less fred durst-y bands from that era.
7:43 honestly I feel like they're gonna drop all three at the same time and they've been sprinkling collabs/singles from each one already. They have such a wide variety of collabs at this point, such a wide variety of genres for each single, it only makes sense that they're teasing all three simultaneously
Kinda Fan theory: BMTH did all these heavy features and realized how much fun they were having so they decided to make their future Heavy EP. I'm excited. This also makes me hype for more Nik Nox!
I am so incredibly proud of Corpse; he’s accomplished so much and gone on to create amazing music in just a few years. He’s a goddamn treasure, and I’m so excited to see what amazing things he does next! ⛓️🥀🔪💀🖤
I remember corpse talking about how he listened to a lot of bmth and that he'd love to collab with them some day, I'm so glad he got the chance. And he really went off, was not expecting corpse to be screaming like that
Corpse’s screams remind me of Corey Taylor’s ‘99 screams, just in the sense that they both sound like they’re losing their goddamn minds and it’s fucking awesome.
7:44 I don't think this is gonna be on PH 2, mainly for 2 reasons: 1) This is a CORPSE song featuring BMTH, not the other way around and 2) if it was a BMTH single it would be called "CoDE miSTakE" or something like that
so, the reason they say "this'll be the emo album" and then drop this is because this is Corpse's song, featuring BMTH. Not the other way around. Either way, we've been blessed. This is really fucking solid.
What an amazing time to be alive. The last few years have been not so great and life didn't have a spark anymore. But with all my favorite bands coming back doing hard shit, I feel like life has color again.
Have you heard Prime Evil by Rakdos? Dude does whistle screams at the beginning of the song, he sounds a lot like Storm Strope from The Last Ten Seconds of Life
I just love how the song got hard and heavy at the very end, like it just went crazy and that end where he says “I WILL ALWAYS BE A COOOODE MIIIIIS TAAAAAAAAKEEE” *🤌🏻😚 chef kiss*
This is my first time listening to this, because Paris Hilton dropped the bop Hot One. But this honestly shook me. I listened to it and came back to your vid. The god tier collab of the year
BMTH has been killing it lately, their own music slaps and their collabs slap too, can't wait for the new album, btw incase yall haven't seen they released another song with lil uzi called werewolf
