Dan has an amazing voice.. Been a fan for a while now. His version of Amazing Grace has quickly become my favorite version. This one is probably one of my favorite versions of this song as well.

I love most of his covers better than the originals. He puts all his emotion - his whole soul - into every song, holding nothing back. He took lessons years ago, practiced and worked so hard to get this good, then taught singing. And he can sing anything... He sings each song 3 times to get different camera angles, combines the video shots, arranges the music, does drum parts as needed - he's a hard worker and so talented. So many good songs to recommend -- Gethsemane, My Mother Told Me, Witcher covers, Nightwish covers, Battle Hymn, 10 Epic Power Metal Songs in 6 Minutes, so many greats to pick from. Excellent reaction! Since you're new to his epicness, I suggest his "all covers" playlist, oldest to newest or newest to oldest. Either way, it will show you what he can do. Also check out his original music with his band Fearless - their album Chronicles of Ancient Wisdom is great, and their video for Tale With No End is a favorite of mine. You can't go wrong with anything by him, though; he's the best!
I've only known about this incredible singer for about 2 weeks. The RU-vid algorithms, because of my mixtures of music, sent me to Dan's rendition of Amazing Grace and now I've been binge watching his videos! I love your reactions to his out-of- this-world vocals, they are the same as mine! New Subscriber here because of that❤
I love your reaction and agree with you - Dan could upgrade any song ever made. But oh yes, he does care (a lot) about his vocal cords, which is why he uses his entire body and impeccable technical skills to make those sounds - and he takes very good care of himself, which is why he has the strength to pull it off.
I guess it would also help that he isn't a commercial singer meaning he is not touring all the while having to replicate the 'more dangerous' tones day in and day out, he gets to let his vocal chords rest between videos
Actually, Dan is so well-trained that he does care about stressing his vocal cords. Apparently, he does not speak for 24 hours after recording one of his videos and he spends the day before doing warm-up vocal exercises. I do think you are right in saying he doesn't know how good he is. Even closing in on a million subs, RU-vid isn't big enough for him.
Found Dan about 7 years ago... he has become my all time favorite singer. There is mothing he can't do. His music is his passion... and boy can you tell❤ Love his voice, his presentation.... he is all around best singer out there today. And he is habit forming.

I just found Dan New Years eve. And I can’t stop listening to him. I’m just in love with his voice and all he can do with it - and he IS the songs. They come out of his soul through his voice, face and eyes. I love your reactions and you are the only one who do this that gives us very good sound from the singer. Он не то чтобы спел, он передал все те же интонации или как это сказать, как пела Эми. При прослушивании у меня были похожие эмоции как если бы я слышал оригинал, но всё же в любом случае оригинал есть оригинал и я кайфую с него больше, но мужик красава в любом случае. Judging by your background, you should watch his Star Spangled Banner. And yes, the Dan Vasc rabbit hole is real. After hearing Amazing Grace I was mesmerized and ended up going through his entire RU-vid channel in a couple days. I listened almost around the clock. I just couldn’t stop. There has never been another vocalist/performer/artist that has captivated me like Dan has. And just fyi, Dan has had extensive classical training as well as training in how to protect his voice and perform those growls and screams safely.
Ohhh, now you have to listen to his cover of Kate Bush's 'Wuthering Heights...!' Even if you know the original song well, I guarantee you will still not be expecting him to open it the way he does!
