(also, unrelated to my last comment) guys can we please excuse this video if the 'harmonies are terrible' or 'the musical looks so bad' etc etc whine whine because tbh this is a performance for a drama award thing and they were probably quite nervous and they don't usually sing it directly into standing mics so you can't judge the musical by this one performance you know? maybe try listening to some of the other tracks that have been recorded in a studio, they sound a lot more easy on the ears and just better musically. and if you still don't like it then that's fine, it's your opinion. but maybe try and give it an actual go first, i originally thought it was going to be a bit weird but i listened the the tracks and it's currently one of my favourite musicals. and stop moaning about the age of the actors, personally i think it adds a sweet comedic touch to see adults playing children parts.

*@ people complaining* - you can't judge the musical off of one rough performance. the mic quality wasn't the best, and they're probably not used to performing in this kind of environment, being a low budget show with a seven-person cast, you can't expect it to be amazing. (although i am biased in the sense that i already love it lmao) they had a reunion concert in august, i believe, and their are several versions of that floating around youtube that are a million times better than this performance. and also @ those who don't know how theatre works - its incredibly diffuclut to find good child stars who could pull this kind of show off (might i point out Put You in Your Place & D.O.A are very difficult songs to sing for a 12-15 year old.) sure, you have School of Rock as an example for talented theatre kids, but it's hard finding actors who also fit the roles their playing. Chris, Kristen and George are pretty damn accurate casting. the musical actually respects the book and doesn't go off on a tangent and do it's own thing like the movie does. it's got catchy music, an extremely talented cast who obviously know the characters they're playing well (unlike the movies). this fandom finally gets a decent adaptation and you all have to be bitter about it. (of course, if you don't like it, you don't have to, i'm merely suggesting you listen to it or watch the reunion concert before making your final judgements.)

Definitely one of my favorite songs. I love how they put the real world next to the monsters, as if to say ‘sometimes they’re the same thing’. Really shows how Percy, at least at first, really saw it as him and Sally vs the world. Dad left, stepdad’s abusive, nobody else cares...really captures Percy’s mindset.

I love the musical more than the book/movie. First off I just prefer music, and even my mom says I've always loved music, and not so much TV shows and movies. Second, the musical shows so much more emotion! Some of the songsbrought me to tears, and that didn't happen with the book or movie. Lastly...GEORGE SALAZAR 😁 I wonder if he's destined to always be the main character's best friend. lol
