Thanks for this info Jana. This law seems like what many companies tend to do...not give enough hikes to internal employees but offer exhorbitant hikes to new joiners. I am sure as HR you know what I mean. Lol. I hope there are some petitions which we can make to enable this also for current residents.

There is a big confusion between resident permit and resident title. The entry visa is not a resident permit and as per the law you are required to apply for resident permit on or after March 2024.
@TALENTRelocation
@TALENTRelocation 5 месяцев назад
Yes, the distinction is between a residence title and a residence permit. A visa is a residence title already, it is not a residence permit. As per our information the date of the first aquiring a residence title counts. Can you say where your information is from?

Thank you both of you for the details. I have a question, I submitted my master thesis in March 2024 but I have been working full time since January 2024. I applied for a Blue Card in March 2024 and I was told the same old rule of allowing parents to stay 90 days in 180 days. But I don't think that's the new rule if you apply for a Blue Card in March 2024. Can you please clarify this point? Thank you

Hello, I have a question, I got employment VISA on March 1, 2023 and hence I believe I am not eligible to bring my mother. However, my wife was on dependant VISA since then and she is not working. My question is if she gets a job and changes her VISA to employment VISA, will she be eligible to bring my mother?? Thank you!

@hallogermany - I have a query in mind and would appreciate if you can clarify. 1. I might be coming to Germany on Work Permit visa from my company ( Accenture - IT software company) . In this case can I bring my parents on Family Reunification visa? 2. What is the family Reunification visa fees per individual parent? 3. How often the family reunification visa for parents needs to be renewed? 4. How long does it take a family Reunification visa for parents to be approved and ready?

Thank you very much for this informative video. I have a question regarding the same. Currently, I have a blue card since 2021 and my wife has dependent visa. But currently she has got the job which is eligible for EU Blue Card. So if she applies after March 2024 then she would be eligible for this scenario. Can we bring our parents permanently on this basis? and is there any chance that this 1st March 2024 will be delayed?

Thank you so much Jana for this info ! It’s really a good news. I was holding blue card earlier as I resided in Germany from 1st April 2019 till 30th Dec 2022. I’ve already left Germany & returned back to India on 31st Dec 2022. Ever since then my blue card is no more valid. Now, if I decide to go back to Garmany again on work permit after 1st April 24, would the new law applicable for me & I can bring parents to Germany ?
@TALENTRelocation
@TALENTRelocation 5 месяцев назад
@chetanpatil7847 - From the wording they used I would think that it would exclude you as you have been holding an employment residence title before. I would still try or speak to a lawyer to see if there are any loopholes or how the administrative practice will be exactly.

What happens after March 2028. Does the resident permit for your parents become invalid and cannot be extended further? If that's the case then it's not permanent is it? They are only allowed to stay till 2028

@daniyaljahan8181 4 дня назад
@@AkashBiswas-uc2mo - The official document states this rule is only valid till March 2028. The government will then reevaluate their position. It's not clear from the government whether parents will be able to renew their residence permit. This is something no RU-vidrs are talking about - what happens if my parents only come in Jan 2028? Will they be allowed to stay till March 2028? That's it?

I admit I couldn't find a final answer to your question. If you haven't had a German employment residence title before, I would try once you get the German title - but the wording I am reading is to vague to know for sure that an EU employment title might not also be barred. We would have to contact the authorities with your concrete case to ask.

@@TALENTRelocationThanks for the response. The whole purpose of this parents visa is to attract skilled labour. If they could attract skilled people from neighboring countries, it will be much easier on authorities/companies for relocation. And I can assure you that people who have never worked in Germany but are already staying in Europe on Blue Card will very easily look for opportunities in Germany if they get to be with their parents in Germany.
