I just bought this in the light turquoise and I LOVE it!!! It's everything they say it is in this video. I'm falling more and more in love with it the more I sit in it.
I was looking for wingback armchair recently but saw this one in IKEA store two years ago and it was always in my mind, today I ordered two red armchairs online, I think it’s the best of what saw between all armchairs!
I agree with the comment that a more upright chair is better for reading. This reclined armchair is good for sleeping, watching TV or breastfeeding. It would also be ideal if IKEA could make at least two sizes; I find that the seat is too deep for smaller people like me (165cm tall). Also note you cannot wash the cover fabric, so either keep it really clean or drape a blanket over it.
I dont normally comment on videos but as I av one of these chairs and love it so much I thought I wud for once. Although my chair is not from ikea it is the same style and an original oldskool piece, not only r they extremely comfortable and beautiful. They r also very durable who knows how old my one is but as it has been upholstered in a print of flowers n birds id say it is old lol. wen I can afford to get an ikea version of this style of chair I will defo buy one.
Picked up the yellow when I first time I saw it in Ikea, then the green velvet in the As-Is for 40% off. Picked up both Ottomans and swapped for a unique look. Love them, very comfy and work well with ottomans which I was not initially keen on. Nap-able.
A matchlessly, timelessly handsome armchair which is at the same time so outstandingly well -fitting to the shape of the body, lending the true meaning of the well-being.
I bought this armchair a few days ago. And I cannot even describe how horrible and low the quality is! No comments to design, but the quality of the wood and lining is worse than in a cheapest store near by my place. The wood is full of knots, thorns, it is dry and just falling apart. Seriously Ikea! You communicate how much you care about the environment. But instead of changing furniture every year I would prefer to buy one thing for the entire life!
Maybe spend more than 200 then if you want something to last a lifetime. Also the wood in this chair is fully covered, where are these knots and splinters you're banging on about coming from?
