The new Agenda 2030, which will be adopted at the UN Summit starting on Friday 25 September in New York, is about a global vision. But action to realize these ambitions, and to fulfil the Global Goals (the Sustainable Development Goals, or SDGs), will have to take place largely at national level, according to nationally relevant priorities and targets. And unlike the Millennium Development Goals, this is as true in developed countries as in developing countries.
What will this mean in a country like Sweden, and how can Sweden rise to the challenges? Join us for a seminar at Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) or online on the first day of the UN Summit to discuss new insights on these crucial questions from an SEI report published this week. We will also hear reflections live from the UN Summit from SEI Research Director Måns Nilsson.
