So before my trip to Bali I was having a mini feakout session because I take codeine and diazepam everyday for my spine injury and anxiety. Both codeine and diazepam are classed as illegal drugs over in Bali so here are my tips to stay safe and get your medication over through customs without any trouble.

This reminds me of 20 years ago when I was backpacking at Thailand i got a high fever and had to ran into a hospital just to get a medicine. Be prepared-.

Thanks for the info!!! We are the same. We have to bring a load of meds everywhere we go. The middle east is very strict also. We carry our prescriptions with Pharmacist signature now. cheers

Medication needs to be in the original packaging..A doctor's note as well..validate your meds..yes honest and transparent..customs declaration..thank you for the advise and information

Great video thanks. I have never been outside of the country. I do care all the information about my meds with me at all times. I do so more now that I have my CCW with me at all times. That's something I never really thought about before. Basic, over the counter stuff that you can't get in other parts of the world. I guess we do take it for granted when all we have to do is go to the corner store for cold medication.It's funny, but in Mexico there are things that are over the counter that you need a prescription for the in the U.S.

Hey, you don't know how happy I am to have found your channel. I loved your explanation, although I was scared to go there, recently a model was arrested for being on medication for anxiety and depression, and that left me terrified and afraid, I also have anxiety and headaches that incapacitate me if I don't take the medicine continuously, and in Indonesia they are prohibited. I'm wanting to take a gap year, but for that I'm going to take enough medication for 1 year, so it's going to be a lot of boxes, I'm even thinking about giving up going to Bali, because of that, even though I already have the script and tickets bought, prescriptions and medical reports everything necessary, but I don't want to have the stress of being arrested for so little. I am glad that you were able to go and that your right to continue your treatment was respected, many people are not aware of these rules and prohibitions that many countries have.

Thank you for this. I’m about to go to Bali and have similar medications to yours and others. I just saw on the news about a man caught with prescribed medications. They are sus but none the less the doctor in Aus prescribed them to him and he took fresh bottle of them with full . Dex’s for ADHD meds. He’s in shit .Look it up for more info. My meds are for reasons as yourself and a new one. So yes doctors letter and copies of them Incase the letter is taken away from me. Did you put your medications in plastic bag and have in carry on bags or other bags to collect? I will need my daily amount in medi container. Which would mean out of the boxes ? I too will only take what’s required and small extra amount if needed. Other than that you can’t be anymore clearer than this. As we too with injuries or Mental health issues need holidays and have the rights to travel with the medications we take on a daily basis to make life a little better to cope with. Now it’s a case of counting it all out 🧐 to be sure of doses. What else can you do other than what you have said. ? I woke in middle of the night with this question and glad I found your video. What’s the chances of that yeah.. 🙏🏼faith in doing right and universes way of warning me prior to avoid a possible mistake in 5 days time 😖😢thank goodness you did this youtube video. High five 🙌🏼 to you. Oh the documents reg customs and not handing over immigration papers I didn’t understand so well ?. I thought once stamped they take it you can’t keep it? Do we need to declare our prescribed medication and do the same things as flight procedure if we travelling by ferry/ship?

That so informative for tourism, im as Indonesian cant even buy a tremenza(a good influenza medicine) without doctors note 😣🤣

Thank you for letting us know your thoughts about this topic. Probably I will never go to those lands, but certainly, other countries have similar regulations (but not the death penalty). I think I will confine myself to Europe; there are so many beautiful and interesting places here and more human laws :)

I'm going to Bali in a few weeks. I have several different medications that I have to take on a daily basis. Pain meds, sleep meds, anxiety medications, and adhd medication. I have the original bottles and also a letter from my doctor with my diagnosis and the amounts and times I am supposed to take the medication. When I went to Italy. I didn't have absolutely no problem. What else do I need to do?

Gosh been to Singapore and Indonesia many many MANY times for work. I always have ibuprofen and Ativan in my purse. Never declared as I never knew this was an issue as it is in prescription bottle. Never an issue. Never not one time. Hmmm...i think you must b reasonable. Don’t create needless panic?

Stop being so paranoid. Take your medicine.
