It's funny how they're giving you so many guns and so much ammo, but then the fights are stuff like: shoot an invisible psi mutant who teleports you around, or a horde of mutants so thick that the NPC can't even walk past all the bodies. It's like you're super prepared, and not prepared at all.

I mean, the aliens stuff is really lore accurate, in Roadside Picnic the zone was literally a landing zone for UFOs, hence anomalies and other whacky shit Actually the mod portrays the zone more like it was in Roadside Picnic, an inspiration quite a lot of books set in the STALKER universe also relied more heavily upon- deadly anomalies and mutants that will tear you apart in a heartbeat, crazy anomalies like a piece of microscopic string that will cut you in half, other general whackiness. Kinda cool to be fair, especially paired with the natural STALKER engine jank and whack.
